As the 2007 NFL Draft is now complete, it is now time to get into the fantasy combine mode. Many of you have your fantasy rookie drafts approaching, and you need to start breaking down the 2007 running back class. Who are the top 5? What runners are in the best situations? Well, to help you fantasy fanatics, I have listed my top 6 rookie RBs in order, with video clips, career stats, bio info and more. Hopefully this helps you better make your decision come draft day. - Smitty

1. RB ADRIAN PETERSON (Minnesota)

Breakdown: Quite possibly the next elite fantasy runner, Peterson has all of the tools to succeed at the NFL level. He has incredible speed (4.37) and is one of the toughest runners we have seen come out of college in a long time. He has good hands, unlike some may think (proven in workouts), so durability is his only real question mark. If he does remain healthy, even with Chester Taylor on the Vikings roster, the sky is the limit for Peterson. We wouldn’t be shocked if Peterson goes in the first round in 2008 redraft leagues. POTENTIAL TO BE: LaDainian Tomlinson-like.

Height: 6-2 | Weight: 217

Team: Minnesota| College: Oklahoma

40 Time: 4.40 (Low: 4.37, High: 4.42)

2. RB MARSHAWN LYNCH (Buffalo)

Breakdown: Marshawn Lynch is tough between the tackles. He has tremendous power and always keeps his feet moving - he has good speed (4.42) for his size. Even though he is clearly the second best RB in this 2007 class (fantasy-wise), some wonder how much room he will find in Buffalo early on. POTENTIAL TO BE: Laurence Maroney-like.

Height: 5-11 | Weight: 215

Team: Buffalo | College: California

3. RB BRANDON JACKSON (Green Bay)

Breakdown: Jackson has a good burst and great cut-back ability. He is at his best between the tackles and has a great talent for making defenders miss. He isn’t the fastest runner (4.50), but he is fast enough to break off long runs at the next level. Green Bay will give Jackson every chance to start - expect him to take advantage. Green Bay’s offense is perfect for the rookie and he could have a solid 2007 season if he lands the gig. POTENTIAL TO BE: Frank Gore-like.

Height: 5-10 | Weight: 210

Team: Green Bay | College: Nebraska

4. RB Michael Bush (Oakland)

Breakdown: Bush could have been a top 10 overall pick in this year’s 2007 NFL Draft if he had not broken his leg in the first game of the 2006 season (a game he had 3TDs in by the way). He has an instinct for getting in the end zone, has great power and decent speed (4.50) for a guy that weighs 243. Teams were obviously very concerned about his health, which is why the runner fell all the way to Oakland in the 4th round (pick #100). Bush says he is 90% healed and Oakland must believe him. Even with LaMont Jordan on the roster, Michael Bush could be starting for the Raiders by the middle of the season. POTENTIAL TO BE: Steven Jackson-like.

5. RB Chris Henry (Tennessee)

Breakdown: Henry is completely unproven, raw and inexperienced. His physical ability is insane, which is why Tennessee drafted him in the 2nd round of the 2007 NFL Draft. His combine workout alone is what put him on the map. LenDale White stands in his way, but we don’t belive the Titans would have taken Henry as high as they did if they didn’t think he could lead their rushing attack in 2007 and beyond. Expect Henry to win the job by week one of the 2007 season. POTENTIAL TO BE: Joseph Addai-like

6. RB Tony Hunt (Philadelphia)

Breakdown: Hunt has just 4.60-type speed, but he has good game-speed. He is a power back with great hands, balance, blocking ability and more. Obviously his situation isn’t outstanding, as Westbrook is the clear stud in Philly, but Westbrook’s injury history suggests that Hunt has a real shot at starting a couple games here and there. With solid play over the next couple of years, Hunt may set himself up to be the future back in Philly. POTENTIAL TO BE: Rudi Johnson-like
