According to FoxSports.com, Chiefs RB Larry Johnson has agreed to a six-year deal worth roughly $45 million. It looks like about $19 million of it is guaranteed.
Johnson has never left our top 2 overall in either our 2007 Redraft Rankings or our 2007 Dynasty Rankings, so congrats to those that followed our advice and took advantage of the mass panic.
While there are still questions about the offense in Kansas City, Johnson has never failed fantasy owners in his young fantasy career.
The rusher has scored 40TDs over the last two seasons, and he only started 9 games in 2005.
LJ has also rushed for over 1,750 yards in each of his last two seasons, again with only 9 starts in 2005.
He is averaging 125.6 yards rushing and 27.4 receiving yards per start so far in his career, which is 153 total yards per start in 25 straight games, which is crazy.
He is also averaging 1.6TDs per start in his 25 starts with the Chiefs.
In our eyes Larry Johnson is by far the second best fantasy running back heading into 2007.
