Week 1: Last Minute Thoughts

Smitty Good luck in week one, Xtremers! Also, if you need any last minute fantasy advice, get on our Start/Bench Forum and post your question there! Here are some Last Minute Fantasy Thoughts:

Our Favorite Starts Of The Week

  • RB Adrian Peterson (vs. ATL) – We have a feeling that the Vikes are going to showcase their rookie in a major way in week 1. It wouldn’t surprise us if the rookie had 100 total yards and a score in his first NFL regular season game.
  • WR James Jones (vs. EAG) – Jones, another rookie, has done nothing but make plays so far in that Green Bay uniform — With Jennings likely out in week 1, Jones might grab 5 or so passes for 70 yards and a score in this one.
  • QB Vince Young (@JAC) – The Jags have been one of the few teams to ever slow Young down, but don’t expect that to happen in this contest. Young should be good for at least two scores, one on the ground, and we wouldn’t be shocked if he threw for over 200 yards against the Jags’ D in week 1.

Consider Benching

  • RB LenDale White (@JAC) – If you have a better option in week one, put White on the bench. The Jags have a tough rushing defense and White has a lot to prove before we put our faith in him.
  • RB Cadillac Williams (@SEA) – Obviously if you don’t have a better option, don’t sit Caddy, but the Bucs could fall behind in this one fairly early… this means that Caddy might not get a lot of 3rd and 4th quarter touches.
