Our Last Minute Decisions article is designed to help fantasy owners with those last-second calls and game-time decisions. So let’s get right into it!
Who’s A Go For Week 2?
Eli Manning – He looks like a go for week 2
Greg Jennings – Not expected to play, so give James Jones another shot as a WR3 if you are slim at the position
Cadillac Williams – He’ll probably be active but isn’t a great play given the circumstances
Chester Taylor – Not expected to play at all — AP was FFX’s start of the week last week and he is this week as well (see below)
Vernand Morency – Don’t count on him stealing many carries from B-Jax even if he does suit up — B-Jax could steal the job away, it is in his hands in week 2
Thomas Jones – Expected to go in Week 2 and is a solid flex, but maybe he’s still a risky RB2 until he proves fully healthy
Jesse Chatman – Was expected to get few carries at first, now he might play more than planned — Ronnie should still see the bulk, which is good for Brown owners
Kevin Jones – Not likely to be active, but on his way back — Time to trade Tatum? (see below)
Drew Bennett – Expected to play, as he practice this week — not a great start, though
Josh McCown – Daunte Culpepper appears to be in line to start in week 2
Steve McNair – Has a shot to start, but no one should be using this guy on Sundays
Player Spotlights
RB Adrian Peterson
Adrian Peterson is one of FFX’s starts of the week entering week 2. We would start
AP even over runners like
McGahee,
Maroney and
Jones-Drew. While
Chester Taylor is out, he should play like a top 10-12 talent. When
Chester returns, that may not chance.
RB Marion Barber
Barber is a sneaky start each and every week. He is a great play in week 2 as a flex option, and he may even be worthy of starting at your RB2 spot if you are slim at the position. We like
Barber as a flex looking forward.
RB Tatum Bell
Bell might struggle in week 2, as he faces a tough (and on the rise) Vikings defense. With
Kevin Jones working his way back into the running back rotation, and added to this match-up,
Bell might be a guy to trade while his value is somewhat high.
