The Bears defense is giving up just 198.5 yards per game, but really, they are better than that. I love Romo this year, but he isn’t quite a player you always leave in your line-up (yet). Of course, sitting a QB like Romo really depends on what back-up options you have. Hasselbeck is a decent starting fantasy QB, so he certainly fits the mold of a very solid back-up… and given that he faces the Bengals defense (27th in the league against the pass), this decision is pretty simple if you ask me. Start Matt Hasselbeck. |

The Bears are tough, so tough that you have to consider benching the breakout quarterback if you have a guy you can plug in that could play well. Hasselbeck is that guy! He faces one of the worst passing defenses in the NFL, so you can almost bet that Hassel will at least have more opportunities to score. More opportunities usually leads to more points. Start Matt Hasselbeck. |

This one is a toss up, but I think again you have to play the match-up game when dealing with level talent. Thomas Jones faces the Dolphins defense, which has given up 178.5 yards per game (second to last in the NFL so far). While the Bucs are ranked a low 20th against the run through two games, they only give up 119 yards per game — That is a big difference. Make sure Jones is good to go before you leave him in your line-up, but given the fact that he did get 24 carries last week against the Ravens, I’d imagine he is all set for week 3 — Start Thomas Jones. |

I don’t know why, but I am just not feeling confident in Thomas Jones right now. Granted, he played the Ravens last week, but he hasn’t impressed me much so far this year. Now if Jacobs is able to play in week 3, I’m obviously not going to be as high on Ward entering this week, but for now it looks like Jacobs isn’t even considering practicing at all this week. If Jacobs sits, Ward should be used a ton in both the rushing and passing game. He should score. Start Derrick Ward. |
