Below are players that are On The Rise and On The Decline in the world of fantasy football. Note that the Monday Night game is still to come, but the players listed below have already played their week 11 games — It’s never too early to dig into the upcoming week, so let’s get right into the player values for week 12 looking forward.

fantasy-football-players-on-the-rise Willis McGahee | RB BAL

McGahee just carried the ball 21 times for 102 yards and a touchdown in Week 11 against the Browns. Three of Portis’ 4TDs on the year have come in the last three weeks, so he hasn’t been scoring well until recently. While this is a good thing, that McGahee has found the end zone as of late, he is the kind of player that you may want to consider selling high while you still can. Could he keep it up? Possibly, but given his injury history and how bad that Ravens offense looks, McGahee will most likely be inconsistent down the stretch. He does have a decent schedule from Week 12 on, but test the trade waters and remember only make a move if you can sell high. Not sure what to offer or accept? Get on our Fantasy Football Forums!

fantasy-football-players-on-the-rise Brian Westbrook | RB PHI

Westy is having a fantastic year, as he now has 849 rushing yards, 54 receptions for 518 receiving yards and 9 total touchdowns. As long as Westbrook can stay on the field, he should continue to produce like a top 2-3 fantasy rusher, especially in PPR formats. Don’t trade the runner away, especially after he just ran the football 32 times 148 rushing yards against the Dolphins on Sunday. McNabb is banged up, so the Eagles could lean on Westbrook more than ever next Sunday night against New England. This could be a rough game for Westy, but you just can’t trade a guy that is playing as well as he is.

fantasy-football-players-on-the-rise Cedric Benson | RB CHI

Benson has scored a touchdown in each of his last two games and he just rushed the football 11 times for an impressive 89 yards and a touchdown on Sunday against the Seahawks. Use this to your advantage and sell the runner high while you still can. Sure, it is possible that Benson has turned a corner, but it is highly unlikely given the fact that he was averaging 3.0 yards-per-carry heading in to this game… and that was on 9 games! That isn’t a small sample to calculate from. Sell! Not sure what to offer or accept? Get on our Fantasy Football Forums!

fantasy-football-players-on-the-decline Clinton Portis | RB WAS

Portis looked awful on Sunday, running the football 12 times for 36 yards. If you own Portis and watch him weekly, you know this… Portis limps off the field a couple times per game almost every single week. He always seems to limp his way back onto the field, but one of these games the runner may not come back into the game. Now, that is obviously speculation, but test the trade market and see what you can get for oft-injured back. If you can swap him out for a similar-type runner, it might be worth the swap in order to eliminate that risk that Portis brings to the table. Not sure what to offer or accept? fantasy-football-players-on-the-decline Jesse Chatman | RB MIA

Chatman isn’t necessarily On the Decline, but he just had a mediocre game on Sunday against the Eagles rushing the football 22 times for 77 yards with no scores. He also had just one catch for 4 yards. Chatman faces the Steelers next week, the #1 rushing defense in the entire NFL, so the best time to trade for Chatman might be after his Week 12 match-up, but if your trade deadline is here, or the price is right this week, go after the runner now… Not sure what to offer or accept? fantasy-football-players-on-the-decline Peyton Manning | QB IND

Now there is a good chance that Peyton never gets back to elite-form before the fantasy season is up, but now would be the time to trade for the QB if there ever was a time. Manning’s Week 11 performance (163/0/1) most likely dropped the QB out of the top 5-6 in most scoring formats, so attack the signal-caller via trade and see what’s what.
