Fantasy Football Stock Market – Week 4

With Week 3 in the rear view, it’s time to dig into Week 4. Below is our Weekly Fantasy Football Stock Market Advice for Week 4. Who is on the rise? Who is on the Decline?

J.T. O’Sullivan | QB SF

J.T. O’Sullivan is the real deal. The sharp-thinking passer has a quick release and he is playing outstanding football considering he doesn’t have the most elite group of wide receivers. We drafted O’Sullivan as our back-up in a few leagues, but he has been starting on some of our squads for two weeks now, that’s how much faith we have been putting in this kid. If for some reason he is available in any of your leagues, especially in any of your dynasty leagues, be sure to grab him immediately. Expect a very nice game out of the 49er in Week 4 at New Orleans. The Saints have an awful defense!

Chad Johnson | WR CIN

I know, how can we still believe in Chad Ocho Cinco? Well, it all boils down to value. If you’re in need of a spark entering this fourth week of fantasy football, take a chance on Chad. He isn’t going to cost you anything close to WR1-type value, so we say roll that dice! Carson Palmer rebounded in Week 3 and that offense finally looks awake. Once Chris Henry (suspension) returns to the line-up in Week 5 (at DAL), Chad will all of the sudden start having huge games — That’s how Chad rolls!

Maurice Jones-Drew | RB JAC

We pimped this guy a lot last week because we knew that the Colts rushing defense is just what MJD needed. The “Human Bowling Ball” ran the football 19 times against the Colts in Week 3, racking up 107 yards and one score. He also caught four passes for 59 yards. He looks great and the Jags realize that they have to get the little guy the football. It might be too late to buy MJD low (hopefully most of you attacked him via trade last week like advised), but do try! Not sure what to give up or what kind of offer to send out? Braylon Edwards | WR CLE

If you take away anything from this article, take this… Braylon Edwards is one of our biggest "go get ‘em" players entering Week 4. The Browns face the Bengals and Derek Anderson is under the gun. Not only do we think Anderson will respond, if the team does in fact give the passer one more week to prove himself, but we think Edwards is a top 5WR looking forward. If you own him, don’t sell him — You won’t get near enough! If you don’t own him, do your best to change that! He is a WR1 in my book no matter what anyone says, and I’d trade away any WR2 to acquire the guy. If I own a Greg Jennings, you better believe I’m going to trade him in for an Edwards moving forward. It’s only Week 4 — Keep that in mind when you find yourself giving up on the league’s most talented players… think about all those fantasy owners that just traded away T.J. Houshmandzadeh.

Willis McGahee | RB BAL

Willis McGahee’s stock is definitely on the rise, but his value should continue to climb, so we say go get him!
