Below are the Players On The Rise & On The Decline entering Week 10. This is our Fantasy Football Stock Market in many ways and we hope that this feature helps you get a pulse on some of the more talked about fantasy players at this point in the 2008 fantasy football season.

Marshawn Lynch | RB BUF

Marshawn Lynch ran the football just 9 times for 16 yards on Sunday. The runner had the flu and actually went to the locker room at one point during the game, but he did return to action. The entire Bills offense struggled in Week 9, so I say use Lynch’s lack of fantasy success on Sunday to your advantage. If fantasy owners are down on the runner’s value entering Weeks 10-16, strike! He has top 8RB upside moving forward. Don’t trade a first-round talent for the running back, as the point is to try acquiring him on the cheap, but I honestly believe that top 8RB numbers moving forward is not unrealistic. His next four match-ups are the Patriots, Browns, Chiefs and 49ers. That’s a great rushing schedule heading into your fantasy playoffs!

Steven Jackson | RB STL

Steven Jackson had just 17 rushing yards on Sunday against the Cardinals, but according to early reports, the running back was stripped of his usual workload due to his conditioning, not due to injury. This is great news, but obviously monitor this via our FFX News and be sure he is healthy heading into Week 10. If he is healthy and ready to play, he should see close to his usual workload right out of the gate, as Antonio Pittman (fibula) could be done for the season. Travis Minor (head) is also banged up and might not play in Week 10. We can’t predict injury, but if healthy, S-Jax should have no problems being a reliable top 5 overall RB in Weeks 10-16.

More Players On The Rise:
  • Michael Turner - It will be tough to acquire him now. His Oakland match-up was gold, but he will also thrive during his next two contests against the Saints and Broncos.
  • Tim Hightower - Arguably a solid RB2 for weeks 10-16.
  • Ray Rice - With McGahee out in Week 9, Rice stepped up in a major way rushing for 154 yards on 21 carries. He may have earned himself 18+ carries per game from here on.
  • Jamaal Charles - In an early comeback from his high ankle sprain, the rookie took over for the inactive L.J. rushing the football 18 times for 106 yards. L.J. will be suspended for Week 10, so Charles is a solid flex-option if you’re in need at the position.
  • Tyler Thigpen - Thigpen has now looked good in two straight weeks. In Week 9, he had 164 yards passing and two total touchdowns (one receiving, thrown by receiver Mark Bradley).
  • Koren Robinson - Robinson had a great Week 9 outing, catching four passes for 105 yards and one touchdown.

More Players On The Decline:
  • Tony Romo / Terrell Owens / Marion Barber - The Cowboys have a bye in Week 10, which will frustrate some fantasy owners that need to win every single week to get to their fantasy playoffs. Use this to your advantage — Romo should be back in Week 11 and all three of these players will vault back into the elite.
  • Joseph Addai - Addai ran for just 32 yards on 17 carries in Week 9. Given his upside, he is one of the best buy-low runners at this point in the 2008 fantasy season.
  • Larry Johnson - Coach Edwards said during the post-game press conference on Sunday that he does not believe that RB Jamaal Charles has the "size" or the "experience" to be a 20-carry running back. This is good news for L.J. owners. If you don’t own L.J., see how cheap you can get him.
