Rank #9 *Andre Brown is a big back and absolutely punishing runner who has the ability to run through tacklers when he lowers his pads. He's a patient back with good vision. And unlike a lot of big backs, Brown will contribute in the passing game - he has good hands coming out of the backfield and will ancor as a pass protector. Downside if any, is that he runs a little too upright, and considering he's not an elusive runner and has an injury history - he missed time with a broken foot in 2007 and needed a second surgery on it last spring - durability could be an ongoing issue. Brown also lacks breakaway speed. He's not durable enough to be a workhorse, but Brown has the power and versatility to be a solid part-time back.*

One of the guys that had a good combine and an impressive senior bowl is Andre Brown of NCState. Ran a 4.49 and has been ranked as low as 21 on some draft sites. According to chris steuber of scout.com was the most impressive of the RBs and especially in the blocking drills. I believe the bengals were one of the teams coaching during the senior bowl so don't be surprised to see him end up there. He's been a bit under the radar because of injury. Could be a real find.

He is a good runner and he had a great workout. Like so many of these running backs, in the right situation they could do very well. My early guess is that no team drafts Peerman to start, so in Peerman's case I imagine he will have to sleep and wait somewhere.

Has anyone thought about Cedric Peerman? Look at his performance at the combine? Has this raised anyone's eyebrows. He outperformed the likes of Donald Brown, Jennings, Wells and Moreno.....his work ethic is unbeliveable and he catches well out of the backfield and all people are talking about is his lack of hand size? What am I missing here.

Yea, again, a player's forty time doesn't mean much if they have that "it" factor like Moreno has. Moreno will be as good as Frank Gore. I could be wrong, and I certainly cannot predict injury, but I'm confident in the incoming rook.

I was just looking at the top o10 40 times for RB last year and it was such a huge discrepancy, nearly all 10 guys ran 4.4's and quite a few posted sub 4.4, this year it was barely 4...I still think this class has great depth top to bottom though and you may have to throw out the 40 out on some players.

I hear some call this draft class fantastic, then I hear others call it weak. State your case and talk up those you believe in.

I have no concerns about Moreno's 4.60, as Frank Gore ran a 4.65 in 2005. Wells' time also doesn't concern me at all.

Donald Brown impressed me a lot and I admit I had him ranked way too low on my personal set of 2009 rookie RB rankings.

Other comments, observations or concerns?
