Fantasy: [2/23/09] This kid is a tremendous talent and has top five running back upside from a fantasy perspective — He weighed 207 pounds in college and that was our only concern about Moreno heading into early 2009. “Was” being the keyword, as Moreno already gained about seven quality pounds (weighing in at 217 at the Combine. He clearly hit the weights! The downside? He just ran a 4.60 forty at the Combine, but he is plenty fast and the added weight will help him more than hurt him. Terrell Davis ran a forty in the 4.7s, so when an elite talent like this comes along, 4.60 will suffice. Plus, Moreno can get faster in that new skin. His work ethic is tremendous — He can get faster and will get faster at his new weight. Now that Moreno is at the weight of a DeAngelo Williams, he now sits above all other 2009 rookie running back prospects! In 2008, the Georgia running back produced three 3TD-performances, rushed for over 100 yards seven times and scored in every single regular season game but two. With the added weight, Moreno really could be the next big thing at the running back position. If you have the No. 1 overall rookie pick in your 2009 fantasy football draft, we advise you take Moreno without hesitation.
