This is an early look at my 2009 Fantasy Football IDP Rankings with an eye towards dynasty play. There are some obvious omissions for a variety of reasons and some inclusions bound to confound. Free agent signings continue and once the 2009 NFL Draft is completed, this IDP Rankings lists will be updated and expanded (June/August).
Initially, I was going to have separate rankings to account for the basic IDP scoring types, but in the end it was easier to just rank the players. Know your league scoring, as that affects a player’s value and ranking. Even start-up leagues usually list a player’s scoring from last year based on the parameters for that league.

DBs change year to year. QBs stay away from certain match-ups, giving good players less chances to make a difference. If you miss out on a player you want remember this maxim: QBs pick on the rookies.

L.Briggs listed twice, but I really think you did a good job on this overall.
Maybe I missed something. I understand the man is getting older, but I have to believe Antoine Winfield deserves a place on the DB list. At the age of 31, Winfield still scored 81 solo tackles, 14 assists, 2 sacks, 2 INTs, 11 pass deflections, and forced 4 fumbles in 2008. The tackle numbers alone merit top ten consideration.
I also left off Ed Reed, Charles Woodson, et al. Winfield is a solid pro, no argument there. All three and more will be added when the lists expand in May. These rankings aren’t based on last years performance or his age (32) as Bell is 31. They are subjective.
As for listing Briggs twice, I list someone twice every time I do one of these. Tough to find reliable help these days.
Keep ‘em coming guys!
Good stuff Tav. Thanks for the resource.
