I think you give Slaton a couple of weeks against non-elite defenses to rebuild his trade value and then try to move him. The next 3 weeks are JAC, OAK and @ARI, so the schedule will certainly work for him now. I still see 100+ all-purpose yards in 7 out of the last 9 games last year, and no reason why he should re-establish that level for some period of time.

The guy I am considering bailing on is SANTANA MOSS. I drafted him in the 6th round of a PPR redraft keeper/league so the price is a little skewed, but for reference, the 2 WRs drafted before & after were Berrian, Cotchery / Holt, Evans. I believed he was good value there as a solid wr3 and then waited on a TE and chose Cooley over Winslow. Now I'm scratching my head wondering how I can go through a season with 2 starters on a team being led by Jason Campbell. More disturbing, Moss has historically feasted on weak match-ups such as STL, DET, etc ... but simply isn't getting the targets as Campbell is playing an underneath game that features Cooley, Randle-El and Betts on 3rd down. Henderson, Stuckey, Manningham and Knox are on my WW (until tomorrow night when they will be auctioned off) Thoughts on dropping Moss for one of these guys?

I also have JAMES DAVIS. I saw the obvious upside and given Jamal Lewis' age, likened this situation to Rudi Johnson / Kevin Smith a year ago and hoped that Davis would take-over by mid-season and be a borderline rb2/rb3 by end of year. Here's the issue - In a 12 team, 16 player per roster league, how long do you wait on this guy? I see a team that has scored 1 offensive TD in 2 weeks and had an ugly drought at the end of last year, is led by a QB that poses no vertical threat, coached by a Bellichik disciple that prefers "package" i.e. committee based appraoches and BAL and PIT looming 4 times annually on the schedule. Sure Davis could be a lead member of a committee getting 60% of the carries next year. On the other hand, Betts, Shonn Greene, Bernard Scott are on the WW in my league. Considering time frame and upside, is he more valuable than these three?

Smitty's apprehension about Steve Slaton has proven to be right. He's not getting the job on the ground done so far. Now to be fair, Tennessee has a pretty good running defense and so so the Jets. Of course, you hope your stud can at least come up with some decent numbers, but he hasn't even come close. You gotta hang on to him and try and sell high when he does well against a weaker D.
