We have been asked to be a part of a weekly fantasy football roundtable debate, where a group of fantasy Sites attack the same question and we interlink the content within each of our Sites. This week the article can be found on KFFL.com. The Weekly Article is called “Fourth & 1 Debate” and it will feature a different question each and every week. Each week, one Site will host the debate, but all of the Sites involved will announce the release of the article and provide the link to the debate. One of the weeks Fantasy Football Xtreme will host the debate. This will be a weekly feature.
The Sites involved include: FantasyFootballXtreme, rotoprofessor.com, JunkyardJake.com, lesterslegends.com, fantasypros911.com, kffl.com, top-fantasy-football.com, footballjabber.com

The Arizona Cardinals‘ Chris Wells is my No. 1 secret weapon for the second half of the 2009 fantasy football season. He isn’t a waiver wire grab, as he is almost surely on a roster in your league, but if you don’t own him currently, trade for him now and stash him away. He is a potential top 5-10 fantasy rusher, and I think we will see signs of that talent down the stretch. He is already getting more touches as in last week (12 carries last week to Hightower’s 13). Once he explodes and has that breakout two-TD game – game over. He will then be untouchable in any format. Buy-low in dynasty leagues, especially, before it’s too late! As far as waiver-type players to stash, my vote goes to Justin Forsett of the Seattle Seahawks. He could get more touches each week moving forward. I can see him starting to finish out the season. Grab him now…… [ read more & the rest of the responses ] |

I like Wells & Forsett as well. Some honorable mentions I came up with are the Bengals WR’s and Jets RB’s. Steve Smith (CAR) and the Houston WR’s too. Key matchups in week 13 through week 16 as CIN faces DET,MIN,SD & KC, along with Houston’s schedule JAC,SEA,STL & MIA. I believe the Carolina WR’s are just 2nd half wonders like S.Jackson(STL) and worth risking if the price is right. Nice matchup for the Jets BUF,TB,ATL & IND as the colts likely to sit many starters once their playoff birth has been solidified.
Great commentary as always, Scorpion. Don’t count out Shonn Greene either. He is a somewhat of a long shot given T-Jones is getting it done at 32 (almost unheard of)… but Greene could get his shot later. Things change quickly in this league.
Chaz Schilens is another good stash type guy.
Now that Jeremy Maclin is a starting WR in Philly, do you think he has keeper value? My season has been shot with Gore, McNabb, McFadden and now Cooley all missing time.
Do you think I should trade Donald Driver (currently $20, $32 next year) for Jeremy Maclin (currently $2, $4 next year)? Do you think he will be able to hold off Curtis as the starter next year and do you think he could produce as a number 2 WR in a 16 team league? I see he has been getting 6 to 8 looks each week which may be more than Driver is getting.
Has he been looking like a player that is going to be able to adapt after playing the spreade offense in college. I have been waiting for a spotlight on him, but maybe you guys don’t like him much. I really value your opinion.
I’m not sure he will perform like Driver this year, but if you aren’t for sure you’re going to make a run this year, you can’t argue with the money this move frees up. I’m not sure exactly how your league works, but I’m guessing you will have 20+ extra bucks to build with next year based on this move and Maclin could turn out to be more productive than Driver next year. I like Driver, and I am not so sure he will slow down this year (so making this trade is tough if you can still compete), but who knows what next year will hold? I’m not solid on Driver for that kind of cash you mentioned… at least not for next year. I’d be interested to hear what others think.
Anyone?
And I’ll work on a spotlight soon for ya!
