Rashad Jennings (RB)

Rashad Jennings is the number one pick up off the waiver wire this week, if he’s there. He’ll produce with the run and the pass and may be the only viable fantasy player the Jaguars have this week. After stepping in for the injured Maurice Jones-Drew early in last week’s game he was the only running back used and at least for the next few weeks that will continue to be the case. While he ran for 44 yards and a touchdown against the Raiders he caught seven of nine passes for another 58 yards. Owners can expect his number to be called early and often. While teams may focus on stopping him, limiting his upside somewhat almost 30 touches a game will give him RB2 value most weeks.

    hey boykows!

I take it your waivers don’t reset each week? How many RB’s could you start? Dynasty/redraft? Who would you cut? How are your wide receivers? Roster? You have options this week.

Aside from Jennings, Titus Young, Gordon, Ryan Broyles and Chris Givens are guys you want to take a look at as we head towards fantasy playoffs. These are the kinds of pickups that win championships down the road.

There is no easy answer for you here.
Richardson (ribs) could be shut down until the Browns come off their bye in Week 11. They won’t make that decision until after your waiver period.
Spiller gets the Texans, Pats and Dolphins off his bye – all of them are top ten against the run.
LeShoure has the Seahawks, Vikings and Texans in Weeks 8/10/12. Only Week 9 against the Jags is he a sure thing, imo.
Mathews looks good to go Weeks 8/9/11/12/13.

Check your lineups going forward. What do you think you need?
Jennings is in there for Weeks 8-10 for sure. If for some reason the Jags shut down MJD later on, Weeks 12-14 are prime time matchups against teams in the lower third of the NFL against the run.

Then there is Titus Young, soon to be WR2 for the Lions passing offense – guaranteed singled coverage with Calvin on the other side.

More after you respond to the questions. :)
