What happened to San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis on Thursday Night Football versus the Seattle Seahawks? Davis didn’t go out with an injury, played a majority of snaps, yet recorded 0 targets and 0 receptions. He was a non factor the entire game.
I mentioned on twitter I didn’t even hear his name called once, and only realized he hadn’t been used late in the 4th quarter when I checked some fantasy player point standings. When I asked a source what he thought about Davis being a non-factor, he replied “He’s playing. Just isn’t as involved as you’d think this year and especially tonight”
Although I would say that statement is very limited, its still worth keeping a close eye on how Vernon Davis will be used going forward in the 49ers offense.
