Alfred Morris (RB)

You can’t watch this guy run, and not love it. Morris finishes his runs, and punishes the defense with his physical style, unlike most running backs now days, which scamper out of bounds at every opportunity. Now Morris isn’t the flashiest of runners, but in Mike Shanahan’s zone blocking run schemes he excels. When you think of Shanahan’s former great running backs, you think of downhill, one cut, and up the field runners like Terrell Davis, Mike Anderson, Rueben Droughns, and Clinton Portis. Morris fits this mold. He is averaging 4.7 yards a carry, and has over 75 yards rushing in all, but 2 games this year. Now is a great time to buy low on Morris, coming off his two worst fantasy performances of the year. The Redskins were playing catch up both games, and I anticipate them getting back to basics and pounding the ball coming off of their bye week. With the playoffs being a long shot for the Skins, they’ll want to keep RG3 healthy for the future, and will run the ball more and more with Morris. Buy low. Buy now.
