Jacquizz Rodgers was one of my bigger sleepers entering 2012; however, so far, he has failed to deliver. It happens in bold predicting. Is he on the rise, though? I say yes, but only keep him in mind if you’re looking for a deep flex-play in Week 13, or if your rushing crew is just plagued with injuries and you have to go crazy-bold in Week 13-16. Also, if you don’t need him this week, but have a spot to burn on your roster, scoop him up, especially in dynasty formats. Now, the Falcons have failed to use Rodgers effectively all season long, and they have continued to say all year that they want Rodgers more involved each week… yet, they never use him more. Why? Who knows! All I know is the kid is ultra-talented, and he deserves a roster spot in deep leagues, and deserves flex consideration if your team is in need of a gamble-type play. He played more snaps than Michael Turner in Week 12, and he played more snaps than Turner in Week 11 as well. Turner is averaging 3.5 yards-per-carry, so the door is open for Rodgers — Given Rodgers is an excellent receiving back, and given he found the end zone last week, it’s not crazy to think that 70 or so total yards and a decent shot at a score is out of the question for Rodgers on a weekly basis moving forward. I can’t stress this enough… Rodgers is a risky play right now, and we can’t control what the Falcons do with their rushers. But, he is a player to monitor, no question.
