If you’re a little thin on receivers, and you’re looking for some depth, I’d take a look at rookie receiver Chris Givens out of Wake Forest. He’s a deep play receiver, but unlike most deep threat guys, he’s consistent at it. Givens has been under the radar this year, setting a rookie receiving record with 5 straight games with a catch of 50 yards or more. The last 4 games Givens has emerged as a favorite target of QB Sam Bradford, averaging 9.25 targets a game. He’s out shined fellow rookie receiver, and the 33rd overall pick Brian Quick, who has been a non factor for most of the year. Given’s has favorable matchups in his next two games, going up against a Viking team that got torched for 36 standard receiving fantasy points last week, then chasing that with a trip down to sunny Florida to face the worst pass defense in the league, in the Buccaneers. It’s late in the year and maybe the young buck still has some fresh legs, I like him going forward, and even more so if Danny Amendola doesn’t return from a pesky foot injury.
