Ryan Tannehill’s rookie campaign didn’t blow anyone away, but neither did it disappoint. Tannehill put up 3,294 yards and 12 touchdowns with a very average receiving core. Miami is expected to bring in a big name receiver over the off season like a Greg Jennings, or Mike Wallace. With a go to weapon like that I think Tannehill will have much more success, and his fantasy value should rise. He won’t be a QB1 by any means, but he could serve as a reliable backup or bye week fill in. Miami will also look to draft some big name offensive players in the upcoming draft to help out Tannehill. Who knows… with a new logo, new receivers, and a strong 2nd year quarterback, the Dolhpins could have a nice year. Tannehill is extremely athletic, has prototypical size, and above average speed, running a 4.49 40 yard dash at his pro day. The rookie played wide receiver at Texas A&M for a couple years, and received All-Big 12 Honorable Mention honors in 2009, so he can defiantly make plays with his legs, and that can be a the X factor for fantasy quarterbacks. Now I would be remiss if I didn’t mention he also is married to a dime…so that helps in football right? It sure helped A.J McCarron in the national championship! Any-who Tannehill could develop into a nice 2nd tier QB next year with the addition of new weapons, and his ability to create with his legs.
