Vick Ballard (RB)

Vick Ballard’s 2012 NFL draft value took a big hit when he ran a 4.65 forty at the combine. This resulted in Ballard only receiving 29 carries through five weeks. Since then, he’s averaged 4.1 yards per carry, or the same YPC as Steven Jackson, DeMarco Murray, LeSean McCoy, and Arian Foster. Ballard is patient and sets up blocks well, which is vital for a running back to remain on the field. He scored just 2 rushing TDs in 2012, but given his rushing style, I expect him to be able to punch it in at least 6 times next year and rush for 1,050 yards. This should make him a solid RB2. Ballard will be an outstanding value pick in 2013 when he gets number 1 reps for an entire season! Look for him to fly under the radar during your fantasy draft.
