Ryan Nassib would be among the quarterbacks drafted this year even if his college coach and college offensive coordinator were not headed to the NFL (Buffalo Bills). His toughness, competitiveness, arm strength, quick release and gun-slinger mentality are pluses and he’s had three years of starting experience in a pro style offense. He has improved each of those years and his development should continue in the NFL but he is still learning the position.
Nassib will have to learn to read the defenses; go through his progressions faster; avoid locking onto his primary receiver; and develop patience. He does have the talent and potential to start in the NFL. He is athletic enough to extend plays and pick up short yardage first downs and his improvement each year suggests he has not reached his full potential. He will participate in the Senior Bowl and pre-combine Nassib is probably a second day selection in the NFL Draft and dynasty drafts. In fantasy you will have to be patient and let him sit until he is up to NFL speed.
