Coming into 2012 DeMarco Murray was primed to do big things coming off a hot streak late in 2011. Murray accumulated 824 yards his last 8 games in 2011, and was a hot pick in last year’s draft. Unfortunately Murray struggled through this year, battling pesky injuries along the way. I expect next year Murray will return to his previous form and put up big time numbers.
The former Oklahoma Sooner has exceptional talent, and is only heading into his 3rd year. Murray is undervalued for the time being, and rightfully so as he disappointing owners this season, but once Murray gets back to 100% I believe he’ll break the 1,000 mark and have a big time year. The Cowboys have a lot of faith in Murray and if he can put together a strong year, he should be the feature back for many years to come.
Even with his lackluster year Murray never really busted in any of the games he played in, not scoring under 7 (standard fantasy) points at any point during the year when healthy. This is largely due to his involvement in the passing game, which is always a huge plus. Murray is young, a clear starter, on a above average team, involved in the passing game, and should be available later than most RBs with these qualifications. Lock him up if he falls past the early 3rd round, which is very possible.

Murray has not played a full season since high school I believe. Worried whether he can stay healthy for a full or even 23 of a year.
In his two years in the league he’s played 13/9 games. He does come with some injury risk but he’s still a RB2 at a position where the talent drops off dramatically around RB17/18.
