Travis Kelce (TE)

Travis Kelce

Travis Kelce has been injured (abdominal tear) and missed the Senior Bowl and Combine. His pro-day looms large. Kelce is a versatile, physical tight end who can be used in-line, split out, in the slot or as an h-back; a nasty blocker; has good straight line speed; good hands; and has prototypical size.

Character seems to be the biggest concern. He was suspended for the 2011 season. Other than that, he has had only one year of productivity in college and will need to develop more consistency.

He looks like a late second or early third round draft pick in the NFL Draft. With only one year of starting films to go on and everything riding on his pro-day don’t be surprised if he falls a bit from the projections of where he could be drafted. He is still learning the position having been recruited as a quarterback.

In dynasty drafts it’s a bit early to project where he will go. The earlier he is drafted, the higher his draft slot in dynasty leagues. Off the top he would be worth a third round pick but on potential he has second round value. Owners should not reach for him because of Gronkowski comparisons. If you have any questions the rankings will reflect value/potential.
