Terrelle Pryor (QB)

Terrelle Pryor showed week 1 that he can keep a Raiders team with limited talent in games. His ability to scramble was showcased as he rushed for 112 yards. Everyone knows in fantasy football, having the ability to pick up rush yards with a QB is an added bonus. With a weak offensive line and limited receiving options, I think Pryor will end the season with the most rushing yards out of any QB. He’s going to be flushed from the pocket consistently, putting him in a position to make plays with his legs.

The question marks for Pryor have to do with his passing skills, which happens to be a pretty important thing for a QB. In week 1 against the Colts, Pryor went 19-29 with a 65.5% completion percentage, which is very encouraging. Next up Pryor figures to improve on those numbers against a vulnerable Jacksonville defense. He still has a long way to go to prove himself as a passer, but for someone starting their first NFL game, week 1 was a step in the right direction.

Bold Prediction Terrelle Pryor will break the single season rushing record currently help by Michael Vick with 1,038 yards. I think Pryor can achieve this in large part because of the lack of offensive weapons around him. He’ll be forced to scramble constantly with a poor offensive line, and I think he has a chance to catch Vick.

In my opinion Pryor has the potential to finish as a top 15 QB this year, making him a great backup to have on your roster. Considering Oakland’s quarterback situation was up in the air, and widely considered as a no-go for fantasy owners just 2 weeks ago, the emergence of Pryor is definitely a story line to watch.
