Player | Match-Up | Week 1 Projections |
QB Brett Favre | vs. Saints | 225 pass yds, 1 pass TDs, 1 Ints, 0 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Adrian Peterson | 145 rush yds, 1 rush TDs, 22 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | RB Toby Gerhart | 18 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 10 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Percy Harvin | 4 recs, 40 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Bernard Berrian | 4 recs, 45 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Greg Camarillo | 3 recs, 40 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Visanthe Shiancoe | 4 recs, 58 rec yds, 1 rec TDs |
Vikings Notes:
Brett Favre – Favre is back, but he has lost Rice for at least half a season. He will look for Shiancoe more than ever.
Adrian Peterson – With Sidney Rice out half a season, Favre might pass less and the Vikes should run a touch more. Favre will still keep defenses honest, so the injury to Rice could actually help AP.
Toby Gerhart – Not much work for the rookie just yet.
Percy Harvin – Harvin has some additional value in leagues with return yardage.
Bernard Berrian – Decent option this week and moving forward with Rice out for at least half a season.
Greg Camarillo – Recently traded to MIN, how quickly will he contribute?
Visanthe Shiancoe – Shiancoe could have a big year with Rice out for at least half a season.
Player | Match-Up | Week 1 Projections |
QB Drew Brees | vs. Vikings | 305 pass yds, 3 pass TDs, 0 Ints, 0 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Pierre Thomas | 90 rush yds, 1 rush TDs, 33 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | RB Reggie Bush | 35 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 41 rec yds, 1 rec TDs | WR Marques Colston | 5 recs, 75 rec yds, 1 rec TDs | WR Robert Meachem | 4 recs, 45 rec yds, 1 rec TDs | WR Devery Henderson | 2 recs, 25 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Jeremy Shockey | 3 recs, 33 rec yds, 0 rec TDs |
Saints Notes:
Drew Brees – Oh yea, these kind of stats are exactly why Brees is worth a first-round pick.
Pierre Thomas – Thomas is in for a breakout season in 2010 – If he can stay healthy.
Reggie Bush – Bush has looked good this preseason – He could have a relatively nice season… flex worthy for sure.
Marques Colston – Expect a big year out of Colston in 2010.
Robert Meachem – Disappeared in the NFC Championship game last season.
Devery Henderson – Only use Henderson if you are desperate. Adrian Arrington might get that third WR spot right out of the gate.
Jeremy Shockey – The Jimmy Graham show will start at some point this season. For now, Shockey will get a few more targets.
