Panthers Notes:
DeAngelo Williams – The Panthers will turn to the run game to help get their passing game back on track. It may just work. Get ready for a big day DeAngelo owners!
Jonathan Stewart – Decent flex.
Steve Smith – Hopefully Delhomme gets back on track, Smith needs his boy J-Del!
Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
QB Matt Ryan | vs. Panthers | 225 pass yds, 2 pass TDs, 1 Ints, 15 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Michael Turner | 125 rush yds, 1 rush TDs, 12 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | RB Jerious Norwood | 20 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 39 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Roddy White | 6 recs, 88 rec yds, 1 rec TDs | WR Michael Jenkins | 3 recs, 34 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Marty Booker | 0 recs, 0 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Tony Gonzalez | 4 recs, 55 rec yds, 1 rec TDs |
Falcons Notes:
Matt Ryan – Ryan will get better each week.
Michael Turner – The Burner should be good for at least 100 and a score in this one.
Roddy White – White should have a nice outing.

Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
QB Marc Bulger | vs. Redskins | 190 pass yds, 1 pass TDs, 1 Ints, 0 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Steven Jackson | 90 rush yds, 1 rush TDs, 44 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | RB Samkon Gado | 11 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 0 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Donnie Avery | 5 recs, 65 rec yds, 1 rec TDs | WR Laurent Robinson | 3 recs, 34 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Keenan Burton | 2 recs, 24 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Randy McMichael | 3 recs, 39 rec yds, 0 rec TDs |
Rams Notes:
Steven Jackson – The Rams have to use S-Jax to win games.
Donnie Avery – Avery will breakout, it is just a matter of when.
Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
QB Jason Campbell | vs. Rams | 200 pass yds, 1 pass TDs, 1 Ints, 11 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Clinton Portis | 70 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 14 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | RB Ladell Betts | 35 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 11 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Santana Moss | 4 recs, 68 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Antwaan Randle El | 3 recs, 49 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Malcolm Kelly | 2 recs, 17 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Chris Cooley | 4 recs, 44 rec yds, 1 rec TDs |
Redskins Notes:
Clinton Portis – Portis is still on our sell list.
Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
QB Matt Schaub | vs. Titans | 225 pass yds, 1 pass TDs, 1 Ints, 10 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Steve Slaton | 70 rush yds, 1 rush TDs, 42 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | RB Chris Brown | 20 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 0 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Andre Johnson | 6 recs, 90 rec yds, 1 rec TDs | WR Andre Davis | 3 recs, 33 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR David Anderson | 1 recs, 8 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Owen Daniels | 4 recs, 40 rec yds, 0 rec TDs |
Texans Notes:
Matt Schaub – Schaub will have a decent game, but might not explode in this one.
Steve Slaton – Again, we think Slaton could still have a good season for as long as he stays healthy, but many of us here at FFX recommend selling while the value is high. Let Slaton produce some great numbers first, then test the trade waters. Do not sell low, you do not have to, but entertain offers.
Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
QB Kerry Collins | vs. Texans | 219 pass yds, 1 pass TDs, 1 Ints, 0 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Chris Johnson | 89 rush yds, 1 rush TDs, 38 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | RB LenDale White | 20 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 0 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Justin Gage | 4 recs, 45 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Nate Washington | 4 recs, 55 rec yds, 1 rec TDs | WR Kenny Britt | 3 recs, 33 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Bo Scaife | 0 recs, 0 rec yds, 0 rec TDs |
Titans Notes:
Chris Johnson – Like Slaton, we say let Johnson thrive a bit this year, because he will, then entertain offers. Both Slaton and Johnson have tremendous talent, but many here at FFX believe that both runners could fall victim to injury in 2009.
Bo Scaife – Not expected to play.

Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
QB Drew Brees | vs. Eagles | 290 pass yds, 2 pass TDs, 1 Ints, 0 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Reggie Bush | 55 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 55 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Marques Colston | 6 recs, 70 rec yds, 1 rec TDs | WR Devery Henderson | 5 recs, 66 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Lance Moore | 5 recs, 70 rec yds, 1 rec TDs | TE Jeremy Shockey | 4 recs, 45 rec yds, 0 rec TDs |
Saints Notes:
Drew Brees – Brees will have a good game, but this is not the Lions. Sorry.
Lance Moore – Moore is getting cut in a lot of leagues right now. Could prove to be a mistake.
Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
QB Donovan McNabb | vs. Saints | 245 pass yds, 1 pass TDs, 0 Ints, 0 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB LeSean McCoy | 23 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 22 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR DeSean Jackson | 6 recs, 86 rec yds, 1 rec TDs | WR Kevin Curtis | 3 recs, 33 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Jason Avant | 3 recs, 40 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Brent Celek | 4 recs, 45 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | RB Mike Bell | 55 rush yds, 1 rush TDs, 11 rec yds, 0 rec TDs |
Eagles Notes:
Donovan McNabb – McNabb is very questionable to play in this game, but we think in the end he will go. If things change throughout the week, you can bet we will update this.
Mike Bell – Most sources suggest that the Saints will not rush P. Thomas back this week – If he does play, though, he could be limited. Thomas is a great player to trade for before he gets back in that line-up. It is his line-up. Mike Bell owners could be disappointed once Thomas is healthy.

Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
QB Tom Brady | vs. Jets | 300 pass yds, 4 pass TDs, 0 Ints, 0 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Fred Taylor | 34 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 0 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | RB Laurence Maroney | 32 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 5 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Randy Moss | 8 recs, 135 rec yds, 3 rec TDs | WR Wes Welker | 0 recs, 0 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Joey Galloway | 4 recs, 55 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Benjamin Watson | 4 recs, 40 rec yds, 1 rec TDs |
Patriots Notes:
Tom Brady – Brady is still our number one fantasy QB here at FFX. He will have a number of these 3-4TD games in 2009.
Fred Taylor – It is tough to count on any NE rusher, as they rotate backs often.
Randy Moss – Moss had a fantastic Week 1, but wait until Week 2.
Wes Welker – Ruled out! Get him out of your line-ups!
Joey Galloway – Should step up a bit in place of Welker.
Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
QB Mark Sanchez | vs. Patriots | 200 pass yds, 1 pass TDs, 1 Ints, 0 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Leon Washington | 40 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 33 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Jerricho Cotchery | 5 recs, 62 rec yds, 1 rec TDs | WR Brad Smith | 1 recs, 7 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Dustin Keller | 3 recs, 30 rec yds, 0 rec TDs |
[ Back to Top ]
Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
QB JaMarcus Russell | vs. Chiefs | 220 pass yds, 1 pass TDs, 1 Ints, 7 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Darren McFadden | 78 rush yds, 1 rush TDs, 38 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | RB Michael Bush | 55 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 11 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Louis Murphy | 4 recs, 45 rec yds, 1 rec TDs | WR Darrius Heyward-Bey | 2 recs, 28 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Johnnie Lee Higgins | 0 recs, 0 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Zach Miller | 4 recs, 45 rec yds, 0 rec TDs |
Raiders Notes:
Darren McFadden – McFadden is a solid player to target via trade right now. He is very underrated.
Michael Bush – Bush is a good football player and worth monitoring right now. If only he was able to get all the carries some place.
Louis Murphy – Sleeper alert?
Zach Miller – Miller could turn out to be a very decent fantasy TE this year.
Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
QB Matt Cassel | vs. Raiders | 210 pass yds, 1 pass TDs, 0 Ints, 0 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Jamaal Charles | 24 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 5 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Dwayne Bowe | 5 recs, 75 rec yds, 1 rec TDs | WR Mark Bradley | 2 recs, 17 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Bobby Engram | 1 recs, 12 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Sean Ryan | 2 recs, 14 rec yds, 0 rec TDs |
Chiefs Notes:
Matt Cassel – Cassel should be back, but keep checking back with us all week.
Dwayne Bowe – Bowe is the only bright spot on this team right now.
Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
QB Kurt Warner | vs. Jaguars | 305 pass yds, 2 pass TDs, 1 Ints, 0 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Timothy Hightower | 45 rush yds, 1 rush TDs, 33 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | RB Chris Wells | 35 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 12 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Larry Fitzgerald | 6 recs, 113 rec yds, 1 rec TDs | WR Steve Breaston | 0 recs, 0 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Ben Patrick | 0 recs, 0 rec yds, 0 rec TDs |
Cardinals Notes:
Kurt Warner – Warner should bounce-back a bit in this game, but we have our concerns about Warner finishing the season. He gets banged up very easily and he keeps taking hits. We have a funny feeling we may see Matt Leinart this year.
Timothy Hightower – Wells might come along slower than expected because Hightower is the trusted blocker.
Chris Wells – Wells could start off a bit slow, but we still believe that his rookie season will be off the hook at some point. Believe!
Larry Fitzgerald – Fitz is Fitz. Expecting big numbers is routine.
Steve Breaston – Active, but he may not play a ton.
Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
QB David Garrard | vs. Cardinals | 210 pass yds, 1 pass TDs, 1 Ints, 0 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Maurice Jones-Drew | 90 rush yds, 1 rush TDs, 40 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | RB Greg Jones | 0 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 0 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Torry Holt | 4 recs, 45 rec yds, 1 rec TDs | WR Troy Williamson | 4 recs, 40 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Mike Thomas | 0 recs, 0 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Marcedes Lewis | 2 recs, 14 rec yds, 0 rec TDs |
Jaguars Notes:
Maurice Jones-Drew – MJD will not slow down in this game. Look for the little guy to get better each week.
Torry Holt – Looks like the No. 1 in Jacksonville.
Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
QB Carson Palmer | vs. Packers | 235 pass yds, 1 pass TDs, 1 Ints, 0 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Cedric Benson | 55 rush yds, 1 rush TDs, 10 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | RB Bernard Scott | 22 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 0 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Chad Ochocinco | 5 recs, 70 rec yds, 1 rec TDs | WR Chris Henry | 4 recs, 42 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Daniel Coats | 0 recs, 0 rec yds, 0 rec TDs |
Bengals Notes:
Carson Palmer – Palmer did not look good last week, that is for sure.
Cedric Benson – Benson played better than expected in Week 1, but we still do not like his season-long value.
Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
QB Aaron Rodgers | vs. Bengals | 304 pass yds, 3 pass TDs, 1 Ints, 0 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Ryan Grant | 79 rush yds, 1 rush TDs, 12 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | RB Brandon Jackson | 18 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 0 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Greg Jennings | 6 recs, 99 rec yds, 1 rec TDs | WR Donald Driver | 4 recs, 45 rec yds, 1 rec TDs | WR Jordy Nelson | 3 recs, 33 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Jermichael Finley | 3 recs, 30 rec yds, 1 rec TDs |
Packers Notes:
Greg Jennings – Jennings will get his.
Jermichael Finley – Finley is a breakout candidate for later on. If he gets the targets and the start, watch out!
Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
QB Brett Favre | vs. Lions | 230 pass yds, 2 pass TDs, 0 Ints, 0 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Adrian Peterson | 120 rush yds, 2 rush TDs, 23 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Bernard Berrian | 4 recs, 40 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Percy Harvin | 4 recs, 45 rec yds, 1 rec TDs | WR Sidney Rice | 2 recs, 22 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Visanthe Shiancoe | 4 recs, 38 rec yds, 1 rec TDs |
Vikings Notes:
Brett Favre – Brees just threw 6TDs against this AWFUL defense, so Favre could have a bigger game than this.
Adrian Peterson – Everyone knows how bad this Lions passing defense is (6TDs to Brees last week), but the rushing defense was dead last in 2009, so AP is going to destroy the Lions.
Bernard Berrian – Believe it or not, Berrian played last week. He just did not catch a pass. He could get eased into his No. 1WR role, but once he is back and fully healthy, Berrian could have a good season.
Visanthe Shiancoe – Underrated TE.
Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
QB Matthew Stafford | vs. Vikings | 200 pass yds, 1 pass TDs, 2 Ints, 0 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Kevin Smith | 49 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 6 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | RB Aaron Brown | 10 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 13 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Calvin Johnson | 6 recs, 88 rec yds, 1 rec TDs | WR Bryant Johnson | 3 recs, 28 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Dennis Northcutt | 2 recs, 20 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Brandon Pettigrew | 2 recs, 11 rec yds, 0 rec TDs |
Lions Notes:
Matthew Stafford – The Lions will be down early in this one, so even if Stafford plays bad, he should throw a ton and eventually connect with Calvin for a score. Stafford should not even be anyone
Aaron Brown – Brown is very talented. Monitor his workload. The guy just makes plays.
Calvin Johnson – Again, as said above, the Lions should be down early in this game and Calvin should eventually pull in a long TD pass from Stafford.
Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
QB Byron Leftwich | vs. Bills | 215 pass yds, 1 pass TDs, 1 Ints, 10 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Cadillac Williams | 70 rush yds, 1 rush TDs, 6 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | RB Derrick Ward | 45 rush yds, 1 rush TDs, 30 rec yds, 1 rec TDs | WR Michael Clayton | 3 recs, 37 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Sammie Stroughter | 1 recs, 9 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Kellen Winslow | 3 recs, 40 rec yds, 0 rec TDs |
Buccaneers Notes:
Cadillac Williams – Is he really back? Good question. No one has the answer — yet.
Derrick Ward – Williams looks like the main man (until he gets hurt), but use that to your advantage and buy Ward while his value is low.
Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
QB Trent Edwards | vs. Buccaneers | 215 pass yds, 1 pass TDs, 0 Ints, 0 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Marshawn Lynch | 0 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 0 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | RB Fred Jackson | 45 rush yds, 1 rush TDs, 44 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Terrell Owens | 6 recs, 80 rec yds, 1 rec TDs | WR Lee Evans | 4 recs, 49 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Josh Reed | 2 recs, 12 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Derek Schouman | 1 recs, 6 rec yds, 0 rec TDs |
Bills Notes:
Marshawn Lynch – Suspended.
Fred Jackson – Jackson is a good football player. Lynch will be the man when he returns from his suspension, but Jackson could cement himself a role in this offense.
Terrell Owens – Buy-low.
Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
QB Matt Hasselbeck | vs. 49ers | 245 pass yds, 1 pass TDs, 1 Ints, 5 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Julius Jones | 65 rush yds, 1 rush TDs, 12 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | RB Edgerrin James | 20 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 0 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh | 6 recs, 78 rec yds, 1 rec TDs | WR Deon Butler | 2 recs, 22 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE John Carlson | 5 recs, 72 rec yds, 0 rec TDs |
Seahawks Notes:
Julius Jones – Jones was impressive in Week 1. Will it continue?
Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
QB Shaun Hill | vs. Seahawks | 205 pass yds, 1 pass TDs, 1 Ints, 0 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Frank Gore | 88 rush yds, 1 rush TDs, 38 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | RB Glen Coffee | 17 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 0 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Isaac Bruce | 5 recs, 55 rec yds, 1 rec TDs | WR Josh Morgan | 3 recs, 27 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Arnaz Battle | 2 recs, 18 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Vernon Davis | 2 recs, 22 rec yds, 0 rec TDs |
49ers Notes:
Frank Gore – Gore is a solid buy-low player entering Week 2.
Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
QB Ben Roethlisberger | vs. Bears | 205 pass yds, 1 pass TDs, 1 Ints, 20 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Willie Parker | 41 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 0 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | RB Rashard Mendenhall | 24 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 5 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Santonio Holmes | 5 recs, 75 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Hines Ward | 4 recs, 40 rec yds, 1 rec TDs | WR Limas Sweed | 1 recs, 9 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Heath Miller | 2 recs, 20 rec yds, 0 rec TDs |
Steelers Notes:
Ben Roethlisberger – Losing Urlacher hurts that CHI defense. Roethy should still move the ball in a decent fashion, though.
Willie Parker – PIT might be able to pass, but running will be tough, especially given the way the Steelers have been run blocking.
Rashard Mendenhall – Should get more carries moving forward.
Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
QB Jay Cutler | vs. Steelers | 218 pass yds, 1 pass TDs, 1 Ints, 0 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Matt Forte | 70 rush yds, 1 rush TDs, 14 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | RB Garrett Wolfe | 10 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 0 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Earl Bennett | 5 recs, 55 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Devin Hester | 3 recs, 41 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Johnny Knox | 0 recs, 0 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Greg Olsen | 4 recs, 43 rec yds, 1 rec TDs |
Bears Notes:
Matt Forte – Tough match-up. Given his Week 1 performance, Forte could be a good player to go after via trade entering Week 3.
Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
RB Jamal Lewis | vs. Broncos | 65 rush yds, 1 rush TDs, 7 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | RB James Davis | 15 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 0 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Mike Furrey | 4 recs, 40 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Mohamed Massaquoi | 1 recs, 11 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Robert Royal | 2 recs, 23 rec yds, 0 rec TDs |
Browns Notes:
Jamal Lewis – Jamal could produce in a string of games early on, but we do not see him holding up this year at his size at the dreaded running back age of 30.
Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
QB Brady Quinn | vs. Browns | 195 pass yds, 1 pass TDs, 1 Ints, 0 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | QB Kyle Orton | 235 pass yds, 2 pass TDs, 1 Ints, 7 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Knowshon Moreno | 50 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 12 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | RB Correll Buckhalter | 20 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 0 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Brandon Marshall | 6 recs, 89 rec yds, 1 rec TDs | WR Eddie Royal | 5 recs, 74 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Brandon Stokley | 2 recs, 15 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Daniel Graham | 1 recs, 8 rec yds, 0 rec TDs |
Broncos Notes:
Kyle Orton – This match-up should help Orton move the ball this week.
Knowshon Moreno – Like Chris Wells, Knowshon Moreno could start off slow. By the middle of the year, though, but backs should be solid fantasy RB2s.
Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
QB Joe Flacco | vs. Chargers | 210 pass yds, 1 pass TDs, 1 Ints, 0 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Ray Rice | 90 rush yds, 1 rush TDs, 33 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | RB Willis McGahee | 30 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 0 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Derrick Mason | 4 recs, 45 rec yds, 1 rec TDs | WR Mark Clayton | 2 recs, 14 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Kelley Washington | 2 recs, 22 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Todd Heap | 2 recs, 13 rec yds, 0 rec TDs |
Ravens Notes:
Ray Rice – We tried to warn everyone about Rice. He will not be cheap to acquire now. He could rack-up 100 total yards and a score on a regular basis in 2009.
Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
QB Philip Rivers | vs. Ravens | 200 pass yds, 1 pass TDs, 2 Ints, 0 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Darren Sproles | 40 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 22 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Vincent Jackson | 4 recs, 44 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Malcom Floyd | 0 recs, 0 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Antonio Gates | 4 recs, 40 rec yds, 1 rec TDs |
Chargers Notes:
Philip Rivers – Tough match-up.
Darren Sproles – Sproles will start, but not a great match-up.
Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
QB Eli Manning | vs. Cowboys | 209 pass yds, 1 pass TDs, 1 Ints, 0 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Brandon Jacobs | 75 rush yds, 1 rush TDs, 22 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | RB Ahmad Bradshaw | 45 rush yds, 1 rush TDs, 40 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Domenik Hixon | 4 recs, 39 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Steve Smith | 2 recs, 34 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Hakeem Nicks | 1 recs, 11 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Kevin Boss | 1 recs, 7 rec yds, 0 rec TDs |
Giants Notes:
Brandon Jacobs – Solid player to buy-low entering Week 2, especially if you already have Bradshaw stashed on your bench.
Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
QB Tony Romo | vs. Giants | 275 pass yds, 2 pass TDs, 1 Ints, 10 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Marion Barber | 100 rush yds, 1 rush TDs, 17 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | RB Felix Jones | 20 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 11 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Roy Williams | 5 recs, 70 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Patrick Crayton | 4 recs, 49 rec yds, 1 rec TDs | WR Miles Austin | 2 recs, 29 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Jason Witten | 3 recs, 45 rec yds, 1 rec TDs |
Cowboys Notes:
Marion Barber – Barber is very underrated right now. Target him if the price is right!
Roy Williams – Still hard to trust him, but he might finally produce for fantasy owners. Romo looked sharp, so that is a plus!
Patrick Crayton – Underrated.
Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
QB Peyton Manning | vs. Dolphins | 344 pass yds, 2 pass TDs, 0 Ints, 0 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Joseph Addai | 70 rush yds, 1 rush TDs, 14 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | RB Donald Brown | 34 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 13 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Reggie Wayne | 6 recs, 90 rec yds, 1 rec TDs | WR Pierre Garcon | 4 recs, 42 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Austin Collie | 3 recs, 31 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Dallas Clark | 5 recs, 50 rec yds, 1 rec TDs |
Colts Notes:
Joseph Addai – No one here at FFX is saying that anyone should count on Addai being a RB1 this year, but he is extremely underrated right now.
Pierre Garcon – With Gonzo out, doors open. Gonzo could be out up to 2 months now.
Dallas Clark – Again, the theme here is that with Gonzo out, someone has to step up. Clark could see more targets over the next 1-2 months.
Player | Match-Up | Week 2 Projections |
QB Chad Pennington | vs. Colts | 217 pass yds, 1 pass TDs, 1 Ints, 0 rush yds, 0 rush TDs | RB Ronnie Brown | 110 rush yds, 1 rush TDs, 24 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | RB Ricky Williams | 30 rush yds, 0 rush TDs, 12 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Ted Ginn | 4 recs, 40 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | WR Greg Camarillo | 5 recs, 60 rec yds, 1 rec TDs | WR Davone Bess | 2 recs, 20 rec yds, 0 rec TDs | TE Anthony Fasano | 1 recs, 7 rec yds, 0 rec TDs |
Dolphins Notes:
Ronnie Brown – So many are ready to jump ship after one mediocre outing. Buy-low if this is happening in your league and and stay the course if you own Brown. Remember, DeAngelo Williams scored 18 rushing touchdowns in 2009, yet he had about 8 fantasy points in Week 1 last season.
Ricky Williams – The coaching staff mentioned heading into this game that Ricky could be in for more carries… keep in mind we heard the same thing in 2007 about Jesse Chatman stealing touches — Ronnie was a top 2 fantasy RB in the first seven games of that season before suffering a torn ACL.
