Let’s hear some debating on this, or agreement if you see things that stand out that you really agree with.
I can already expect the three most debated players will be:
Michael Turner
Ryan Grant
Ernest Graham

Did a very brief perusal.
Grant is too high.
Brady may deserve to be picked that high, but A QB in the first round is very risky, and there is no way he gets close to these out of this world numbers next year. NOt saying he won’t be great, but he won’t be otherworldly
In general I expect to see more non rbs in the first couple of rounds based on the down year the position had as a whole. Much of it though was due to injuries, and wise owners will take advantage.

You may be right. I think a lot of the RBs like Grant and Graham will either fall out of the 2nd or will turn into studs. It will go one way or the other. We are just being a bit bold with those two, Turner as well, but we honestly think 1-2 of those three will be worthy of top 15 overall status. Things should change a lot in the coming weeks and months.

Great mock, never too early for ‘08! I slept on many WRs thinking that RBs would be the premium commodity (as usual) in ‘07. I might throw Reggie Wayne into the mix as a 1st round pick. There could be a trend of more WRs taken in the first/second round next year but that’s just my thought.

Welcome to the Site, BobbyBluechip!
The only problem that you will find with that is that there are Reggie Wayne-types all the way through the 4th round, so you’d be wasting your opportunity to grab one of the few very secure rushers in ‘08.
User our updated 2008 Mock Draft Simulator and you will see what I mean… try both strategies.. if you go RB/RB, you’re going to end up with something like:
Larry Johnson, Reggie Bush, Anquan Boldin, Roy Williams
vs.
Reggie Wayne, Reggie Bush, LenDale White, Roy Williams
See what I’m saying? The value isn’t in the WR, it is getting the WR at a bargain price. This year will be LIKE NO OTHER for getting bargain WRs… ones that can be top 10-types at the cost of 4th round picks.

2008 mock already? can’t beat that. I like the Turner pick that is def. bold. I dont know if im sold on Grant yet but i think alot of people will agree. he could be a fun one to watch this offseason. i may stay away because he will go to high right?

I totally agree on WR being better later in mid rounds. Got to secure RB early even with the trends this year that started to develope.
For the love of his money Randy Moss will be on different team next year in my opinion, and will hurt him and Brady’s value. I find it hard to believe he would take a hometown discount. He hated the Raiders situation, but I could see him going with another great QB via free agent to improve his overall “worth” for talks with greatest WR of all time. Don’t get me wrong I think his best shot to be valuable is with Patriots, but he will try to prove he can do it with any QB and not just with Brady.

You may be right, but for some reason I think fitting in and being happy will make him stay. Money could come into play, but how could NE not give him enough to make him unpack for good?
When the Patriots win it all, maybe he feels like he wants to do it all again with another team, maybe he likes his new family… time will tell, but it will certainly turn fantasy rankings upside down if the two part ways (NE and Moss).

I totally agree with you about M. Turner. I am in a 11 man keeper league and I traded away M. Hasselbeck and my 1.10 next year for him. (I have Romo) I feel like I gave more than what I should have but I still think I came out on the better end of the deal. He is going to be an absolute beast.

Agreed. Turner, if healthy and starting for sure, will be insane.

Grant will be the most interesting RB to watch in mocks I think.

Yes he will.
Like I said, Turner, Graham and Grant are the top 3 players likely to cause debate with this mock and all three are the most likely to move up or down with upcoming news and team moves.
My guess is at least 1 will stay as highly ranked as they are, maybe two… then one won’t hold the currently projected draft slot value.

I’ve been reading your site on a daily basis since January of 07. Lots of good info and in my opinion the best fantasy football site all year around. Just now decided to start participating on forums. You all do excellent work and thanks for all the great info you have provided me with over the last year.

Looking good, Smit. I agree…Grant and Graham should both invoke some interesting debates in the off season. And if Turner moves, as he should, he should be a no brainer (I’ve spent all season trying to extract him from his current owner in my CBS league).
I like Brady up there…especially if Randy stays.

Well, honestly my top 20 changes by the second, not by the day. Graham deserves the top 25 pick right now, but if on the clock, I’d let someone else take the risk I think… mocking and doing are two different things sometimes… they shouldn’t be, unless you’re testing out strategies on our Draft Simulator, but it just happens that way. Grant… I’d gamble on him if I had back to back picks at 12/13, or 11/14, but no earlier and I may change my thinking on that in a couple seconds

I hear ya. It’ll be an interesting off season to say the least. I really like your take on the Derek Anderson situation too…even more so now that they’ve re-signed Dorsey.
