Take a look at these projections…if you are still considering using the RB/RB model of drafting this early mock should change your mind. With the influx of RB talent via the draft and the use of RBBC increasing, the value of WR’s & QB’s is shifting the fantasy landscape.

The depth at WR will only make me wait on WRs in 2008. The RBs thin quickly and the WRs don’t… I’m locking up RB/RB in my early drafts… But I’m glad we have different views on the topic, because it makes for great point/counter point.

Really, there are a ton of different ways to look at it.

add to the fact that about NINE quality rbs are coming out from college to take carries away from top picks and the rb/wr draft is becoming more and more the way to go….

This has been brought to you by FarFromHome and I approve this message

Draft and free agents are going to make the first two rounds on RB and WR debate last forever and change a lot!!! This should be a busy offseason of news and rumors. With possibility of Randy Moss, Chad Johnson, and Michael Turner moving could cause a lot of other players value to change up or down depending on movement. Should be really interesting. I almost always say RB/RB, but I think this year depending on others drafts it might make more sense for a WR early. I would never in years past go QB before I locked WR and RB starters, but if Moss stays and with Romo big year they can’t be under valued. I think this year a lot of drafts will look completly different then the usual predictable draft slots from years past. With the RB split crap I kind of tend to agree with Tavaner here, but if you could lock a solid #2 early you have to do it. Problem is there are so many RB that are going to be equal heading into drafts. Best news is we will have plenty to talk about!!!

I am driving the Josh Johnson bandwagon……All Aboard

All great points… you really could go either way.. once these rookies land, like mentioned above, the easier we will all have it if we decide to wait on RB2s until the 3rd. Those rookies will really help out and make the 2008 RB list a lot deeper. Great point. Just remember that some of those up and coming WRs that could fall into the 4th and 5th, they could do just as well as the guys you’d take in that late 2nd. But for the most part, I agree, the rookies are the X-factor and they should change the way mocks look.

From our Draft Simulator

What team’s look the best through 5 rounds? I ran the Sim real quick to see if RB/WR teams look better, or if RB/RB teams look better, or even QB/RB, etc… Thoughts?

I have to say, I like a lot of them.. team 5, 4 and 12 are interesting.. I like team 1 as well.

I have to say, running the our own Draft Sim is changing my mind a bit, or at least bringing me close to “even” RB/RB strategy goes. Good topic, Tav!

But keep in mind, guys, that as more Rookies get slotted into the top 5 rounds, the more those Roy Williams and Boldin types get pushed down.

I think I still like RB/RB more, given you can really lock in a solid RB2 vs hoping you get lucky, but you guys make great arguments.
