Below you will find our Overall Rookie Rankings for the 2008 fantasy football season. These rankings are in consensus format using rankings from four Fantasy Football Xtreme staffers/contributors. Unranked players are given a rank of 21 — These fantasy football rookie rankings are based off of a standard scoring format (No PPR).

Not sure if you guys completed these last week sometime. I noticed the post date is the 5th of June…but I was surprised that Torian didn’t make the list. Any reasons?

Smitty asked the same question. We all threw in a list of twenty and I’m not a fan of Torain (lisfranc) or the Denver RB situation. imo, next year another RB will be the flavor of the month in Denver…actually, next month another RB will be the flavor of the month.

Smitty also asked me - but like Tav I am not a fan and don't have him in my top 20. That could change obviously, but I feel there are more solid picks on the board to take a chance on before him. I'd probably have him in the top 30, but 20 is just too high for me right now.

I’m not high on Torain long term either, but these rankings are for 2008, and he certainly belongs in the top 29. If he gets 2 or 3 starts on the season, he’ll probably be a top 10 rookie next year. I’d have him higher than a lot of guys on this list (for 2008 only).

I figured you guys didn’t like the situation all the much. I think with what’s happened recently in Denver (even though I hate using their RBs) he should be considered in the high teens…say 18-20 mark.
Tav you are right, there will be some other flavour of the month soon, but as humpback pointed out, he is going to get some carries for sure.

I may be missing something about the ranking of Torain. He is the 6th ranked rookie on both the top 200 re-draft and top 200 dynasty rankings on the site. How is he not in the top 29? Are they differents individuals doing the ranking?
I am not huge on Torain, but I do believe that Denver has to stop playing rb shuffle. They need to concentrate on other team needs in the future drafts and attempt to solidify the RB position this year. They tried with Travis Henry but that fell through. Just my 2 cents.

Torain should be on there, i have him high and so does Zach. Because neither Tav or XYZ had him in their top 20 (Which is fine to have that stance), it goofted up the rankings when i moved them. I have to fix this. Torain will be around 10. I'll fix this ASAP.

I think Forte has some good value in a lot of rookie drafts I've seen. He could be the third-best rookie in this class, he has the talent and the opportunity IMO.
