Start – 1RB, 1WR, 3Flex (RB, WR, TE). Not PPR (but WR's get 2 bonus points for 8 catches)
My Team
WR – Fitz, Burress, Isaac Bruce, Sidney Rice, Kevin Walter, Jacoby Jones
RB – Reggie Bush, Julius Jones, Brandon Jackson, Jesse Chatman, Darius Walker
Rookie Picks – 3, 23, 25
His Team
WR – Andre Johnson, Roy Williams, Santana Moss, Patrick Crayton, Torry Holt, Darrell Jackson, James Jones
RB – Larry Johnson, Pierre Thomas, Cadillac, Shaun Alexander, Michael Bush, Chris Taylor
Rookie Pick – 4, 9, 16
I am obviously in rebuilding mode and am trying to get another pick in the 1st round and offered both my 2nd rounders to get it. He countered with the above – Burress for Crayton and the 1.09.
I hate giving Burress up because he is finally 100% healthy and about to get a huge contract from NY. However, I don't trust Eli at all and I don't know how much longer he will play at an elite level. Crayton showed flashes of talent last year, but is not even close to the performer that Burress is. I do like that Romo is throwing him the ball and that TO will take away the top CB from him. Burress will be the target to stop in NY.
Is the drop off to Crayton worth the 9th overall rookie (Rice, Charles, Johnson, Sweed)?

I think that’s an awful big drop in wr, plus the way DAL is talking about utilizing witten as a WR2. The rb’s @ pick 9 are quite a drop from the top 5 and this years wr class has been described as “lackluster”. Maybe you could counter with a moss and 1.09 or holt, 1.09 if it will work. But like these guys say go with your gut. thats the best advice.

you should be able to do better than Crayton for Burress. This site has Burress in the top 10 for Wr. If you could get Holt that would be a steal.

NO WAY, hit decline! 1.9 will most likely be used for a WR, and you can find young talented WRs on waivers.

Not even close both guys won't equal Burress's production.

I agree. You can get more out of Burress, and Crayton stinks IMO. He runs bad routes, can't catch, and he's the #3 option in Dallas behind T.O. and Witten. Plus, Dallas throws to their backs a bit, and I doubt if they plan on changing that anytime soon after drafting Jones. I'd shop around first, but if you get stuck trading with this guy, then I'd see if he'll part with Pierre Thomas, James Jones and the 9th & 16th picks for Burress/D Walker & the 25th pick. I think Thomas takes over D-Mac's role sooner than later. If not this year, then next year. Jones is a wildcard, but he has a decent shot at being the #2 when Driver's days are numbered. Jones and Nelson will battle for that spot, but the upside is there. You'd be looking at a decent draft this year IMO.
3 – Stewart/Mendenhall/Forte/Smith
9 – Devin Thomas/Hardy/Sweed (possibly Rice if he falls and you want him)
16 – Bennett, Keller, M Kelly, etc. etc.
Then I'd take Best player available the rest of the draft.

Plax is way more valuable. Holt and the 9 I would consider….but still sketchy.
