hey guys, cool keeper lists.
personally, I think SJax is top notch, and he will be next year. They WILL address the offensive line concerns (Far too many solid linemen in the draft this year) and SJax is a pure stud.
Both of you have LJ at 6. I don’t think he will produce that next year, nor will he come close. I like Tav’s placement of MBIII. I think we are finally going to get a taste of MBIII at full tilt.
Jamal Lewis, as odd as it sounds, deserves to be a top 25er for next year. He just signed with the Brownies, and on that offense, he will produce once again.
Smitty, you’re showing a ton of confidence in Ronnie Brown’s knee, but NO faith in Reggie Wayne! C’mon man, he’s as sure a thing as possible!
(edit – Okay, you only have 3 WRs in the top 25, no worries then)
Tav has more WRs and QBs, Smitty is all RB. Smitty, you looking for a return to normalcy? Think 07 was a 1995-like fad? I think we talked about this on another thread.
Good lists gents.
Yea, I have a ton of confidence in Wayne, which is why he is a top WR of mine, but as you noticed and commented on, I'm going RB, as we talked about before where there are like 25ish starting RBs in the NFL and well over 60+ WRs that are all very productive. RBs rule… always have, probably always will (unless you play in a PPR format).
I'm high on Ronnie Brown's knee because this is a keeper format. Most likely Brown will be kept for multiple years, so he has more value than he would in a redraft format. While I rank him in the 18-22 range in a redraft format, he gets a bump in any league that has a keeper aspect.

It is clear from both smitty's and Tavaner's responses that they made this list with multiple future years in mind. fair enough, I judged it simply as next years.
Smitty, this past season wrs outperformed most rbs in general. I see it going back to normal next year as you seem to based on your list.
Why do you think this past season was upside down?
I think it had a lot to do with all the injuries to the top running backs.

QB: A Rodgers, B Roethlisberger, B Quinn RB: M Lynch, F Jackson, M Bush, R Bush, J Charles, G Coffee WR: V Jackson, S Holmes, P Harvin, S Breaston, D Avery, L Murphy TE: H Miller, V Davis, J Finley K: D Akers T: Bears

That strange year can't be explained… it was a combo of older guys like Alexander and Rudi dropping off… and also massive amounts of injuries. While I can understand one's reaction to this past season is to go WR/WR, I would just urge you do use the draft simulator and see how many solid WRs like Roy Williams and Anquan Boldin-types fall. Your drop off from a Chad Johnson or Steve Smith to a Boldin or Roy isn't all that much compared to the drop off from the RBs in the 2nd to the RBs in the 3rd or 4th.
If you got burned by a RB last year, don't let it change your approach so that you pass on RBs early just because. The RBs will thin quickly and you won't have good depth if you wait to roster them.
I take a
Westbrook, McFadden, Holt, Boldin
over
Westbrook, LenDale, Wayne, Boldin
If you can land a Turner or a Jamal Lewis in the 3rd, well, then I consider it, but I'm going to have to see some more ADP action suggest that before I start pimping the 2nd roud WR strategy.

Always love to see a keeper list in February. My top-25 looks something like this:
1. Adrian Peterson
2. LaDainian Tomlinson
3. Joseph Addai(Him and LT are almost too close to call to me)
4. Steven Jackson
5. Marshawn Lynch(I really believe my bold prediction has a good shot at coming true)
6. Tom Brady
7. Larry Johnson
8. Brian Westbrook
9. Willie Parker
10.Marion Barber
11.Maurice Jones-Drew
12.Peyton Manning
13.Clinton Portis
14.Frank Gore
15.Reggie Bush
16.Michael Turner
17.Reggie Wayne(assuming Harrison comes back. If not he would be higher)
18.Randy Moss
19.Willis McGahee
20.Ronnie Brown
21.Braylon Edwards
22.Steve Smith
23.Larry Fitzgerald
24.DeAngelo Williams(my sleeper of the year)
25.Santonio Holmes(I believe)

Yea, solid work.
Funny thing is, if forced to do that exercise again, mine would be different almost every day. I think I would bump Jamal out for sure looking back. He is probably still in my top 30ish for keeping for 1-2 seasons (pure dynasty would be different)…. but in a keeper format, I think Steve Smith or Braylon Edwards would replace Jamal.

Very nice lists guys. Lists are fun even thought we all know they change every day…..actually much more than that!
A few comments.
Even as a Vikes fan, I still have LT at the top of my heap for the next couple years.
I believe in SJax.
LJ/Gore worries me a bit more than you two.
Portis worries me more than Tav.
I am realizing I am going to be pushing Barber/Lynch/McGahee more than most….at least at this point.
Here is my top 10 at least for the moment.
LT
AD
Addai
SJax
Westy
Lynch
McGahee
LJ
Barber
Gore
I am also noticing that I am agreeing with Smitty as far as the RB vs. QB/WR value. With everyone having last year so fresh in the minds, I see many RB's going for great values and not being forced to go early on RB's as we have in the past. I agree with Smitty that their are many good WR's and they are deep so it may be advantageous to wait rather than jump at the perceived top couple of guys.
