IDP Dynasty League…2 pts per tackle, plus 2 additional pts per tackle for a loss, plus 3 pts per sack, 6 pts per int, 6 pts per TD
We start 2 LB's, 2 DL's, and 2 DB's
My current IDP roster includes:
- DL: Suggs, Schobel, Avril
- LB's: Harrison, Timmons, Briggs, D. Ryans, Durant
- DB's: Harper, Delmas, and Piscitelli
Another owner just dropped Mayo…He's had a down year due to injury, but could finish strong…What's the general opinion? Is Mayo a better dynasty LB option than Timmons?

QB's: Ryan, Palmer RB's: MJD, Charles, Addai, Ronnie Brown, Forsett, J.Davis WR's: VJax, White, MSW, Bowe, Britt TE's: Celek, Olson DL's: Suggs LB's: Mayo, Briggs, Durant, D.Ryans DB: Pollard

right now, I value Mayo over each of them but for Harrison. Most of those players are having solid years but this is dynasty value. Mayo is a legit #1 LB. Timmons is like Mayo in that injuries have limited his production, his talent, as least for me, is not in question. I'd add Mayo if I could but you are cutting value if you do cut anyone. Timmons seems the most likely but I'd think hard about Briggs or Ryans.
Briggs production is due to Urlacher being out. Urlacher will be back next year.
Cushing is the new top dog in Houston and his talent impacts Ryans production. Next year, Ryans may start the year closer to a LB2.
that's how highly I think of Timmons. ;)

That's a very nice sqaud of LB's Bashman.
I agree with Tav that picking up Mayo is a must, he is a legit #1 as he stated. Try to find a way to keep Timmons, he's a dangerous player.
Shop Ryans in a trade and hope others value him on name recognition at this point. Cushing is doing a ton of damage playing in a strong-side role in Houston, cutting into Ryans production already. This will only grow as Houston moves him to the weak-side soon to take further advantage of his immense talent.
I disagree with Tav on Briggs. He has been one of the more consistent LB options over the past 5 years, Urlacher being injured has had zero impact on his production (positive or negative)…he is on pace to post 90 solo's and 20-25 assists. Same as always.

Is Mayo enough of a beast to consider giving up Lee Evans along with Gary Brackett in a Dynasty?

I tried shopping DeMeco Ryans…Not any takers in our 10 team league. How about dropping an offensive player like Maroney or Morgan to pick up Mayo…or, Cooper (another owner just dropped him)?
My Team:
QB: Ryan, Palmer, Henne
RB: MJD, R. Brown, Addai, Charles, Maroney, J. Davis, Scott
WR: White, V. Jackson, Bowe, Sims-Walker, R. Williams, Morgan, Britt
TE: Celek, Olson
DL: Suggs, Schobel, Avril
LB: Harrison, Durant, Ryans, Briggs, Timmons
DB: Harper, Demas, Piscitelli
PK: Tynes
PN: Lee

I love Mayo and that is a lot of depth, but he'll be elite year in and year out, imo, for years. Brackett is solid but he played 12 games last year, and is battling injuries this year. Evans may turn it around in Buffalo if they bring in a decent FA QB but that offense isn't going to make him more than a WR3 at this point. I'd counter with someone other than Evans, get a young WR with upside or a 2nd rounder as well as Mayo if they stay firm on Evans. I'd also try for Brackett and a pick for Mayo – I'd start with a 3rd and if I had to go up, I'd want a pick in return within a round of the pick I gave.

Would have suggested that to begin with had the question been worded differently. I'd drop Maroney in a hearbeat and pick up Cooper!!! I'd drop Roy Williams. m/o. Yes, you'll have a lot of LBs but you can use the depth to target a stud DL or add an LB to sweeten a trade for upgrades at other positions.
