Pretty solid team where my wide receivers are my weakest area — especially now. This is a PPR league, and I have drafted accordingly. We start three.
My receivers right now are:
Anquan Boldin, Jerricho Cotchery (yippee for Favre), Kevin Curtis (aaarrrggghhh), Derrick Mason (mini aaaarrrggghhh), Isaac Bruce (high hopes in a Mike Martz offense, but also dinged), Reggie Williams (do you see a trend here), Drew Carter, Domenik Hixon (oh please be for real), and Isaiah Stanback.
Here is the question. Jason Avant amd Greg Lewis (possible backups for Curtis) and Yamon Figurs (possible backup for Derrick Mason) are all available in free agency right now. The trouble is, I have a hard time convincing myself that any of these are even worth picking up. Who knows which one, if any, step up to do the job. I could drop Isaiah Stanbach (although I think he has some sleeper potential as Crayton's backup). Are any of these worth anything, or should I sit tight and wait for opportunity to present itself (or to hide from me like it usually does)? Oh, and if this makes a difference, waivers are free right now, but only for a limited time. Then they revert to blind bidding with limits on player pickups.
