Below we have our consensus 2009 Fantasy Football Dynasty Rookie Rankings. This set of top 25 rookie rankings has our staff average in the far right column, but each writer’s rankings can be seen in their corresponding column. Players that were not ranked by a staffer were given 26 points. And remember that these are dynasty rankings and contain just the 2009 rookie quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers and tight ends. We will keep these rankings updated as much as possible heading into August.

I'm with Zach on #1 – I now have McCoy in that spot as well.  Seems like the more dynamic player out of the three and I think in 2-3 years he will be the one everyone wants out of this 2009 RB lot. He may not produce like Wells and Moreno in year one – I am talking about more long term numbers since this is a dynasty ranking.

Let's not forget that Forte wasn't in the discussion for #1 last season and right now he is the one to own…  just sayin'.

Great list Smitty. I wanted to say thanks for all the hard work in the offseason, its payoff time for those that follow you and the other 'mentors' on this site.

I'm in a 12 team, 28 man roster PPR dynasty – we expanded to 30 man rosters, so this years draft has added weight.  We don't allow wairer wire guys after the draft is over – go to battle with who you draft – sounds simple, not so much.  In that format, its extemely important to HIT on a few later round picks in the draft.  As we have no waivers, last years 'missed' players like Cassell and other are available with the rookies, so some guys get overlooked and some last much longer than they should.

Thanks to some great offseason reports from you guys, and some luck in the draft and trades I've transformed into a very competitive team.  I used your lists and summer articles to build a strategy - get younger and FIND my mid/late pick Sleepers/developmental guys that have a higher chance of hitting.

3.06  – traded down for 4.02 & Brandon Jackson (already owned Grant - nice cuff for not much at all)

4.02 – Massaquoi - have Braylon, made sense, especially if BE leaves town in a year or two (knew about him from college – wouldn't have rated as high, took your advice)

4.06 – Austin Collie – WR looks solid in Indy (never heard of him, watched closely inpreseason based on your advice)

5.06 – Arian Foster – liked him at TN, until your list had him so high I forgot about him, checked into him, liked what I saw

I'm excited, don't think my draft could be goin much better, and never would've been as confident in late round picks without your help.  Still got plenty of younger/talented players I'm looking at from you advice this off-season.

Thanks for all the leads!

12 Team PPR Dynasty QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, TE, Flex
Brees MJD R Brown R Grant AJ Steve Smith Braylon L Moore D Bess O Daniels
10 Team (keep 2)QB, 2RB, 3WR, TE
2008 – Peyton Turner Gore DeAngelo Calvin Steve Smith Coles D Clark

You got it! But keep up the hard work, it doesn't stop here. Half of this game of fantasy football is won through free agency and the "observing" and "reacting" to the coming changes. If I say Ray Rice will explode this year, which I firmly believe, I have to as an expert and regular joe know how to be honest with myself and "observe" (if he falters early) and "react" (change gears and directions)… to be able to do this is really what makes a good owner. Sticking to your guns doesn't win you anything and no one can be even 80% accurate on all their predictions and projections. Injuries happen, coaching decisions happen… observe and react my man! Keep it up!
