Just curious who you would prefer as a RB reserve in a full dynasty (we have a positional restriction of 6 RBs max.)

12 team PPR league, full dynasty (starts 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 RB/WR, 1 TE, 1 D/ST, 1 K):

My team:

QB – T.Romo, E.Manning, M.Stafford

RB – A.Peterson, S.Jackson, D.Williams, K.Moreno, D.Brown, W.McGahee

WR – A.Johnson, C.Johnson (DET), S.Smith (CAR), B.Edwards, R.Williams (DAL), D.Henderson, J.Nelson (IR), J.Hardy (IR)

TE – A.Gates, Z.Miller

D/ST – NYG, BAL

K – N.Kaeding

I don't really see either W.McGahee or C.Taylor playing for me even if AP got hurt, so am I better off with McGahee (who is only 28 while Taylor is 30…both are likely to be with different teams next year)??? [I dropped C.Taylor to add W.McGahee...who I was actually shocked was dropped as RBs are hard to come by for many teams]…was this a good move?

Also, I just dropped D.Thomas so I could add J.Nelson and move him to my 2nd IR position, and then I added D.Henderson.  Looking ahead to next year, would you rather have J.Nelson/D.Henderson or D.Thomas???  Just curious, not much I can do now as my decision was already made! (kind of like dropping C.Taylor to add W.McGahee as my RB6…just wondering what you think as I've already done it)

[I've edited the above post to now show my current roster after these moves...any thoughts???]

I think both moves were good.  McGahee proved earlier this year that he still has some left in the tank and Chester is 2 years older and hasn't been the man for 4 years.  D. Thomas still has a lot to prove before I'll believe that he has the work ethic to be in the league and he has a much worse situation in Washington than Nelson has in GB.

If AP ever goes down a lot of guys will realize just how good Taylor is.  m/o.

Nelson does have upside, on a team loaded with WR talent and James Jones getting healthy.  Right now its a flip a coin situation, no preferences.

Plus 1… How quickly we forget what a good back Chester was before ADP arrived and how well he filled in for 2 weeks in 2007 when ADP got hurt.

I haven't forgotten, cause I had Chester as a handcuff in 2007 and have him again this year. He is hogging a very valuable spot on my 15 man roster, but, I am paranoid of cutting him loose. To be honest, my team didn't miss a beat with ADP on the sidelines in 2007.

Incidentally, I also own Rice and really haven't given any thought to handcuffing him, maybe next week, after I am through all my RB bye weeks.
