Rookie Xavier Omon is not expected to be on Buffalo’s Week 1 roster.
They’ll try to get him on the practice squad. Omon faced a big jump out of D-II Northwest Missouri State and has been outplayed by Dwayne Wright.

Imagine that, a rookie from D2 not making the roster and being beaten out by Dwayne Wright. Maybe everyone should run to go pick up Wright, he is only in his 2nd year and shows lots of potential. He can be the new flavor of the week.
Or maybe just hold out hope that he gets claimed to the perfect situation, maybe the Bengals…

I'm curious about this too. Will he be gone all together or have a Turner type thing happen to him. I'm gonna hold onto him in a deep dynasty league UFN

The best thing that could happen to him is getting released and picked up by another team. I still think he can do something in the NFL. Wright is playing some slot also so they are not just using him at RB which gives him a slight advantage. At one point during this year even if a one game scenerio Omon will prove his worth.

I grabbed him late in a few leagues. As you said, his best bet is to get released and then picked up by another team. He has NFL potential, it just matters where he lands…. I will hold onto him and see what happens.

Same, have him in a contract / salary cap league for as cheap as you can have someone — $1 and 1 year. Deep league so I'll hold onto him and see. My guess is that they won't release him this year though. Think they know that they have a diamond in the rough.
