I have updated my 2008 Fantasy Football Player Projections for the 2008 fantasy football season. I have added PPR projections as well for running backs, wide receivers and tight ends.
Also be sure to check out our Week 1 Fantasy Football Player Projections, which are already up!

You just had to open that con of worms didn’t ya.
RB’s
Mendenhall will take more of a back seat to FWP this year. Next year will be the start of the Mendy show IMO.
I think E. Graham will catch more than 40 balls this year. He caught 50 last year and didn’t start in 5 of those games. Not many people realize how many balls he caught last year and I think he will impress in PPR this year.
FWP - see Mendenhall
WR’s
Calvin Johnson is way too low IMO. 75 1100 9 is attainable IMO.
I would have liked to see Robert Meachem on that list somewhere. I think he will be the #2 there and I could see a 65 850 6 season out of him.
TE’s
My only complaint here would be Witten. I think he will equal his numbers from last year at least. There is still no other recieving option in that offense besides Owens.

Don’t forget to bump Selvin Young’s yards up to 2,000. He said he was going to do it and Shanny believed him and got rid of Henry so he can take all the snaps

I added Torain and Selvin. Many may not be happy with their projections, but its going to be a relay type of thing this year. One will start, the other will finish and the stats will be divided. Shanny rolls like that now. I gave Julius a small bump, but I know many of you still won't be happy with Julius' projections, but I just can't lift him any higher yet, not until I see him in action this preseason.

From a guy living near seattle that has to watch Seahawks games every week, You’re right not to move JJ up anymore. Seattle’s Line is old and poor. I wouldn’t even like LTs chances behind that line. It’s going to be a long year for anyone drafting JJ as their RB2

Great job, thanks!
Is the reason for your projected drop off for TO because of his age? I expect him to be super-motivated coming off of another heart breaking post season loss, plus it’s a contract year for him. He put up much better numbers last year, but he didn’t have quite the motivating factors as he does this year and he didn’t even play in the last game of the season. I’d bump him a decent amount (more along the lines of last year’s numbers), but maybe that’s just me.

I think per start he will be great, but he may miss a couple games this year because of his age. He is in great shape, but he has had some injuries in his past, I see the age thing taking him out for a couple games, that's all. It was just something I factored in. Things could change between now and August for me. What I projected for him wasn't half bad, though :

No worries, attack away. Whenever you crank out projections or rankings and show them to a grip of people, you're ALWAYS going to have people upset about certain guys. That's why you always walk out of a draft thinking you stole this guy, that guy, etc. Is even the first round of any of your redraft leagues exactly like you thought it would be? In 5 years one or two picks always shock me, it is the way of fantasy football!

20TD seasons are always tough to imagine, but they happen! If anyone is going to be that next consistent 18+ TD back it's AP!

Again thank you for the hard work Smitty.
I'd love to see All Day get 20+ TDs but his run straight ahead style worries me. It may not be the best long term style.
