Yeah, that is kind of crazy Joeman.

I wish I would of worded mine miss time not injury related, and it would of been more broad instead of getting suspended.  I thought he was going to report and then quit on them early and they suspended him.

Figured I’d dig this one out. P

1. Smitty - Santonio Holmes will finish as a top 5 WR in virtually every scoring format in 2008, and Michael Turner will finish as a top 8RB in virtually every scoring format in 2008.

Michael Turner is set to do this, Santonio isn’t close

2. canopener - Steven Jackson will be the #1 RB in 2008 in PPR and standard scoring leagues.

he’ll have to have several more games like Sunday to do it

3. basher - Maurice Jones-Drew will be a top 5 fantasy RB in standard scoring systems.
4. Tusken10 - Brady Quinn will lead the Browns in TD passes this year!

unless something drastic changes, pretty safe bet that #3 isn’t happening, but #4 sure might

5. Haimez40 - Steven Jackson gets suspended for some period in ‘08.

Haimez has a mancrush on SJax

6. Hamebone - Randy Moss signs a big fat contract in the off season, and ends up outside the top 10 WR for the 2008 season.

already happened, but not real bold P

7. PAFAS - If Derek Anderson stays at Cleveland, the #1 Reciever of 08? season will be Braylon Edwards

not even close )

8. Crescent Kid - Tomlinson will finish outside the top 20 RBs this year and his career takes a
dramatic downturn ala Shaun Alexander and he never recovers from being a giant wimp in the AFC championship game.

probably not going to happen, but it might!

9. Travdogg - Marshawn Lynch will be a top-3 RB, and win the rushing title!
10. iyoupe - in ppr league reggie bush loses sophmore jinx and finishes top three rb next year and reggie bush gains over 2500 yards from scrimmage breaking marshall faulks record

pretty safe bet that neither of these are happening

11. tgilliam - Jay Cutler becomes a top-10 QB in 12-team fantasy leagues.
12. joeman - Favre dosen’t let the team know if he’s coming back until July & he says yes to one more year

these were both pretty obvious, I thought

13. packerbacker - Tavaris Jackson finishes as a top 10 qb and is the waiver wire pick up of the year.
14. phatman - Anthony Gonzalez will be the next super stud wide reciever in Indy along with Reggie
Wayne as the great Marvin Harrison will lapse into mediocrity.

yeahhhhhno.

15. Rotobradley - I’ll like to predict that the Vikings will have more rushing td’s than the Patriots have passing td’s.
16. FantasyAnalyst - Rashard Mendenhall will make all fantasy owners question why they didn’t draft him over McFadden when he tops McFadden in yards and TDs.

15 might happen, 16 won’t

17. appocalypse187 - Marshall, Brandon DEN WR will be the #1 WR in all leagues and Cutler, Jay DEN QB puts up top 5 QB points in all leagues as Shanny gets pass happy in 2008 !!

WHOOP! There it is!!!

18. Bendadee - Fred Taylor will not play next season becase of injuries suffered before the start of the season.
19. james00_33 - Joseph Addai finishes the season as the number 1 fantasy RB.
20. AllDay028 - Calvin Johnson WILL be at least a top-10 WR for 2008.

20 is going to happen, although it’s not real bold. 18 and 19 are dead in the water

21. Gambler - Anquan Boldin shows the cards he’s still better then Fitz, leading the
team in receptions, yards, and TDs while cracking the top10 in WRs.
22. Infamous-D - Andre Johnson will stay healthy and lead all wide outs in TD’s.

21 was on pace to be right until he got injured (Again). 22 has a pretty good chance of happening now that AJohn and Schaub are on track

23. Kethnaab - Neither (LT or AP) will be worth top 5 in 2008 & neither will Marshawn Lynch, and LJ will not place in the top 10.

oh my, I’m pretty darn close! As it stands, AD is 5th in YFS and 17th in TDs scored. LT2 is 12th in YFS and 27th in TDs scored. Marshawn Lynch is 28th in YFS and 18th in TDs scored. LJ isn’t top 40 in either category.

AD is 6th in standard scoring among RBs, somewhere around 15-20 in overall scoring (QBs dominating). However, with Gore’s schedule getting tough, Forte wearing down and Reggie Bush injured, he may end up nabbing RB5. However, SJax, Turner, and Chris Johnson may have quite a bit to say about that.

24. Zep16 - A Jason Witten will have the most receptions in the 2008 season.
25. Findawg - Jake Delhomme back from IR puts up 30+ TD’s and is a top 10 QB at the end of the year.
26. Joe Divola - Ernest Graham puts up top 3 fantasy rb numbers.

24 is on the fast track to occuring, but 25 and 26 are a bit ambitious I’m thinking

27. ChuckeyCharles - Kurt Warner gets a second ring (etc)
28. XYZMan - Adrian Peterson will exceed expectations by breaking the single season rushing record of 2,105 yards. In accomplishing this he will break his own single game mark by running for over 300 yards in a game.

probably neither will happen unless AD really picks it up. He may still break the single game mark though

29. Marauder - Todd Heap will lead all TEs in Receptions and Yardage in 2008.
30. Tavaner - Lawrence Maroney emerges as a top 5 RB for the year putting up double digit td’s and breaking the single season rushing record for the Pats. Gotta add…the Patriots go undefeated and win the SB this year! ( my original, but it’s not fantasy related)

AD’s dead set on proving me wrong, although I hit the nail on the head with the others

still looking around for where I said Brees would be the top QB and MJD was grossly overrated

can’t find them just yet.

yes, digging up old posts. :D

I vote for me!

In standard scoring (1:10 yards from scrimmage, 6 for rush/receive TDs, -2 per turnover), AD wasn’t a top 5 RB (he was 6th in leagues that included -2 for fumbles). He was the only one that was close to proving my predictions wrong, as LT, LJ and Lynch all underperformed.

Damn, I should've said MJD top 5 in ppr not standard. He was top 3 in several of my ppr leagues…. But I'm so glad I traded for him in 3 of my leagues last year….

You alctually posted MJD was grossly overrated lol? Maybe you should have substituted ADP instead :p
Man I’m pissed Bolden got his face broken this year. I saw Boldin’s year coming like a freight train and that stupid illegal hit cost me.

As for votes, most didn’t work out. Ones that did aren’t really “bold”. Calvin finished top 10 but he was drafted in most leagues as a top 10 WR. Yes, Cutler put up top 10 numbers also but he was drafted as a top 10 QB. Kethnaab gets my vote IF the ADP part works out. Takes guy to say 4 guys generally drafted in the 1st round are going to disappoint if not flat out flop.

Remember this is pre-season prediction - this is when ALMOST EVERYONE was down on Calvin after a disappointing rookie year.  He was going in the very late 5th/mid 6th in a lot of very early drafts.   A lot of guys were saying he's  a workout warrior and nothing more than a combine WR.  And he isn't and wasnt being drafted as a top-10 WR unless you were drafting a few days before the kickoff of the NFL season.   Once everyone saw Calvin in preseason, everyone was going NUTS on him.  I had to snatch him in one league in the mid-2nd round  (4th WR overall) after getitng him in the 5th in early drafts.

Look at history and see that only 3-4 of the top 10 RBs the previous year REPEAT as top-10 the following year — over half FLOPS and has a down year.
