Since Brady got injured today, I started looking ahead to week 2. My back up QB is Favre who goes up against NE next week.  Warner is sitting on the waiver line.  If Brady is not able to go next week, should I pick up Warner as a precaution in case I need him next week (he goes vs. Miami next week). Ryan and Garcia are also sitting out there but my guess is Warner is the defintie way to go.  If I pick him up I would drop Meachem.  Leaves me with only four receivers (we play three) but I feel as if I need to make the move in order to be covered for next week in case Brady can't go.

Sorry - Warner is a free agent; not a waiver.

Yea, of course grab him. Brady is done for a while, if not the season. Look at the photo X found on Brady's knee… looks like a complete ACL tear to me.

Need ACL info? Check out our Injury Dictionary… Kethnaab helped us dig up some solid injury info, especially on ACLs.

Thanks for the info.  I didn't want to wait so I went and grabbed Warner.  Hopefully I only need him for a couple of weeks but from your post it doesn't sound like it.  That really sucks!

Don't you think grabbing Cassels would be a good idea?

looking at the injury, he may end up suffering what is known as the “terrible triad” knee injury. It happens when you get hit from the outside of your knee and your foot turns towards your little toe, which is exactly what happened to Brady. (actually, his body ended up turning to the right, so in effect, his left foot turned to the left in relation to his body) In that scenario, the “terrible triad” is when you injure/tear your ACL, MCL, and medial (sometimes lateral) meniscus. If this is what he did, he is done for the year.

I’d just like to say if the Pats would have known the Chiefs defensive signals this probably would have never happened. This is Goodell’s fault for not letting them tape! :)

Heh I was just having fun with it. Honestly a TRUE football fan hates to see anyone get hurt like this. As much as I despise Brady and the Pats I wouldn’t wish something like this on any player. Hope I didn’t offend anyone and sorry if I did.
