“4-8 game vacation for Baby T.O.? NFL Network's Adam Schefter thinks Broncos WR Brandon Marshall could get anywhere from a 4-to-8 game suspension for his three arrests in the last year. Uh oh. Schefter has been eerily accurate of late and plus, he used to cover the Broncos for the Denver Post. We were expecting a 1- or 2-game suspension but 4 or more would cripple his fantasy status.” From Draftsharks.com
What would this do to his value in redraft and dynasty leagues? He’s going around the 4th round now. Being out half the season would drop him to what, a 8th or 9th rounder? What do you guys think?

I think, if suspended for 6-8 games, Marshall will fall to become a team's first WR off the bench. If only out 2-4 games, he stil will be drafted as a WR3.
Personally, I don't trust him.

lets assume Marshall is out 8 games. this makes someones value go up. someone has to catch Cutlers throws. Stokley? would that make him worth grabbing in a late round? i need to know!! what you guys got?

I think Jackson as well, if he can stay healthy, but also keep an eye on Eddie Royal in camp - the rookie may make enough of a splash to start for the Broncos if Marshall sits for a few weeks.
As far as Marshall's value goes, it will drop like a rock, especially in redraft. Who wants to draft a guy with their 3rd or 4th pick who won't play 1/3 of the season or more. And what will his production be like when he returns? I'd say he drops into the WR3 area as Smitty says - in that area you can afford to draft a guy and wait for him to return.

I don't think we'll be seeing an 8 game suspension for B-Marsh. That would be totally insane of Goodell to do that to him. He even brought Rod Smith with him as a sign of “good faith” in him wanting to change his ways. He hasn't even been convicted of anything at this point, so a suspension based on hearsay is totally uncalled for. Goodell will have his rear end in a sling if he did that. He should probably wait to see what comes out of his DUI case before a suspension is levied. That way it's all legal and all.

It may be uncalled for, but it's not unprecedented. Remember that Pacman Jones had not been convicted of anything at the time his 1 year suspension was handed down. It's quite clear that Marshall has violated the player conduct code and thats the general reason he's likley looking at a lengthy suspension.

That is true raider nation, that is true. Goodell isn't someone to mess with and definitely rules the NFL with an iron fist. I just hope he takes all things into consideration based on all the facts. Most of his problems stemmed from a crazy girlfriend who's now out of the picture. She has been found to be more than just a pathological liar, but an extortionist as well. The DUI is a different issue all together and one he's going to have to man up to.

And here's hoping that he does man up and is able to stay out of further trouble. He is a phenomenal talent who, barring off-field issues and injuries, is destined for NFL super-stardom and fantasy studliness!
