Where do Brady and Randy deserve to go in this draft and where do you think they will go? Where will these Sites value them if you had to guess now?

I think they both go in the 1st, top half for Brady, bottom half for Moss.

Extensive coverage of the Patriots going on around here. One thing is the Patriot players and coaches are being pretty open about things. The main thing ~

….it was reported tonite that Maroney was held back in the beginning of the year until they were sure he was healthy. Initially it was the shoulder surgery, then a groin injury. A RB coach’s (Ivan Fears) decision…which we all know was supported by the HC. What this does for me is elevate Maroney a bit. I’d go with L.T., Wayne and Edwards but don’t sleep on Maroney, he’ll be more productive next year…if they don’t add an RB in the 1st ;)

I hear what you're saying Tav, but I'm still plenty afreared. The thought of going into next year with LoMo as my RB2 is just not sitting right. These last few games have alleviated a considerable amount of concerns, but I think it's Bill that really scares me. His planning from week to week is just down right genius, and he thinks nothing of sacrificing players to achieve his goals.

The great debate. Maroney is going to be all over the early ADPs!

Can't argue with the logic Hambone, but he'll be there for the teams that draft RB, WR, WR, or RB, QB, WR and I feel he'll produce. For me his value will increase if N.E. does not pick up a RB in the first three rounds and decrease if they do grab one.

Note: CBS Sportsline is going to have two writers enter, so Ballgame was nice enough to give up his spot. We would always prefer to have just one FFX staffer involved if we can get more big name writers involved. Jamey Eisenberg is a well respected CBS guy, so we're glad to have him!

Just thought I'd update you guys on that swap.

That makes sense. Well, back to sitting and waiting for April…Grrrr!

Oh, I know Smit…I'm looking forward to it…the perfect pick me up for the day after the SB. I was making reference to me having to sit on Maroney till April.

Smitty this is what i got from the simulator. Which team the rookies end up on will obviously change the early mid round decisions.

1: Tomlinson, LaDainian (RB) (Teams have been more successful at stopping AP. There were only 3 games this year that he didn’t have double digit scoring. And to be quite honest with you, I don’t think Tarvaris Jackson is capable of opening things up for him even if they did get better recievers. They need a lot more help on that side of the ball then people think. Plus RBBC may still be in play)

2: Wayne, Reggie (WR)

3: Edwards, Braylon (WR) – (I already told you my thoughts on this STUD)

4: Williams, DeAngelo (RB) – (People might call me crazy on this but this could be the move that everyone envies at the end of the year as well. With Jake D back working the defenses with Smith, DeA could be another huge breakout player next season. He averages over 5.0 yards per carry and will now be the starter for Carolina from here on out. He’s got a bright future ahead of him.
5: Anderson, Derek (QB) – (he’s worthy)

6: Clark, Dallas (TE) – (he’s Dallas Clark)

7: White, LenDale (RB) – (could even be solid 2, gotta watch out for Brown stealin carries)

8: Henry, Chris (WR) – (I like him if Chad goes elsewhere. If not, u might pick someone else)

9: Kelly, Malcolm (WR) – future stud

10: Williams, Reggie (WR) – (great rapport Garrad and at home against the right team I see him as a good gapper)

This is the best way to use our FFX Mock Draft Simulator … what do you guys think? What strategy looks best through round 3? Going (RB, WR, WR) or (RB, RB, WR)?

Below are the start of both strategies and then the available players looking forward if on the clock again after making that third pick… who likes what better?

– YOUR TEAM — RB/WR/WR

1: Tomlinson, LaDainian (RB)

2: Wayne, Reggie (WR)

3: Braylon Edwards (WR)

– YOUR TEAM –

1: Tomlinson, LaDainian (RB)

2: Wayne, Reggie (WR)

3: Maroney, Laurence (RB)

Players Available when on the clock again in the 4th…

# Lee Evans

# DeAngelo Williams

# Edgerrin James

# Drew Brees

By the way Smitty. According to your Simulator with 12 man league (1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1K, 1D) you will not have the choice to get Bree's at the end of the 4th round. He will be taken 4.11 and you have 4.12. (Not to say he won't be availble because in reality most likely he will)

Would someone please tell Calvin Johnson and Greg Jennings it's time to play ball? Thx

Yea, i was just messing with ya. Football never ends for us.

This isn't a keeper/Dynasty Draft, so not sure I'd take him this high. But you're LenDale and DeAngelo picks are picks I'd consider if i am to go RB, WR, WR… hopefully a RB falls to the 24/25 that I like so I don't have to rely on DeAngelo. If I could land Jonathan Stewart or someone like that with my 4th pick, I'd be just fine, but I have a feeling DeAngelo types will be the types left.

1.01 1. Fantasy Football Xtreme – Smitty Peterson, Adrian MIN RB Mon Feb 4 8:10:16 a.m. ET 2008 Tough call between Adrian Peterson and LaDainian Tomlinson, but AD proved in just his rookie season that he is ready to be a top 2 pick for years and years to come. One really can't go wrong with either rusher, but we want AD with that #1 pick in 2008 fantasy drafts (dynasty or redraft).
1.02 2. FootballDiehards.com – Joe Tomlinson, Ladainian SDC RB Mon Feb 4 9:09:19 a.m. ET 2008 Sure there are questions about LT's knee, but at this point I expect to see him playing at full strength and I'm more than happy to grab him here in any format.
1.03 3. Yahoo Sports – Brad Evans Westbrook, Brian PHI RB Mon Feb 4 10:22:21 a.m. ET 2008
1.04 4. TheFootballExpert.com Addai, Joseph IND RB Mon Feb 4 10:42:50 a.m. ET 2008 Addai at four is a steal and is really the end of the "No-brainer" RB selections to start the draft, with guys like LJ and Steven Jackson immersed in doubt for various reasons. Aside from averaging 11.5 TDs per year over the last two years, Addai has also caught 40+ passes in each of his first two years in the league, making him even more attractive in PPR leagues.
1.05 5. CBS Sports – Jamey Eisenberg Brady, Tom NEP QB Mon Feb 4 10:48:17 a.m. ET 2008
1.06 6. Rotoworld.com – Greg Rosenthal Waiting On Rotoworld.com – Greg Rosenthal For The Next Pick

Yea, interesting turn of events. But can anyone really blame someone for wanting Brady even #3 overall? I wouldn't do it, as I'd want a top RB, but a case can be made for going Brady. Interesting, though.

Imo, Brady @5 is part of the changing face of fantasy football. Check out the champions in the leagues you were in; check the scoring. Holding onto the the RB/RB paradigm of drafting isn't going to necessarily equate to fantasy success with the emerging focus on passing in the NFL.

i agree with the way of ALWAYS drafting RB/RB is definitely becoming a distant memory….and im not saying brady is not a first round pick…im saying that it would be hard for me to select him with jackson out there….vote rb/wr/rb/qb route as the way to go in 2008….
