1.01 1. Fantasy Football Xtreme – Smitty Peterson, Adrian MIN RB Mon Feb 4 8:10:16 a.m. ET 2008 Tough call between Adrian Peterson and LaDainian Tomlinson, but AD proved in just his rookie season that he is ready to be a top 2 pick for years and years to come. One really can't go wrong with either rusher, but we want AD with that #1 pick in 2008 fantasy drafts (dynasty or redraft).
1.02 2. FootballDiehards.com – Joe Tomlinson, Ladainian SDC RB Mon Feb 4 9:09:19 a.m. ET 2008 Sure there are questions about LT's knee, but at this point I expect to see him playing at full strength and I'm more than happy to grab him here in any format.
1.03 3. Yahoo Sports – Brad Evans Westbrook, Brian PHI RB Mon Feb 4 10:22:21 a.m. ET 2008
1.04 4. TheFootballExpert.com Addai, Joseph IND RB Mon Feb 4 10:42:50 a.m. ET 2008 Addai at four is a steal and is really the end of the "No-brainer" RB selections to start the draft, with guys like LJ and Steven Jackson immersed in doubt for various reasons. Aside from averaging 11.5 TDs per year over the last two years, Addai has also caught 40+ passes in each of his first two years in the league, making him even more attractive in PPR leagues.
1.05 5. CBS Sports – Jamey Eisenberg Brady, Tom NEP QB Mon Feb 4 10:48:17 a.m. ET 2008
1.06 6. Rotoworld.com – Greg Rosenthal Jackson, Steven STL RB Mon Feb 4 1:25:22 p.m. ET 2008
1.07 7. Yahoo Sports – Andy Johnson, Larry KCC RB Mon Feb 4 1:25:22 p.m. ET 2008 Pick made based on Pre-Draft List
1.08 8. JunkyardJake.com Manning, Peyton IND QB Mon Feb 4 1:25:22 p.m. ET 2008 Pick made based on Pre-Draft List
1.09 9. FantasyFootballStarters.com – Russ Gore, Frank SFO RB Mon Feb 4 1:25:22 p.m. ET 2008 Pick made based on Pre-Draft List
1.10 10. CBS Sports – Dave Richard Portis, Clinton WAS RB Mon Feb 4 1:37:39 p.m. ET 2008 Absolutely hated picking 8th — I think the first seven names taken in this draft will be the first seven taken in EVERY draft. That's going to make picking 8th very difficult. Portis is still young, and you know they'll still be using him regularly in 2008.

Lynch or even gamble on McGaheee because he's gonna have his hands full with Cameron as OC.

Would someone please tell Calvin Johnson and Greg Jennings it's time to play ball? Thx

This isn't a PPR league we are mocking for, fyi.
Dave is right, that is a tough spot to draft in… the 8 is a gamble, but least you get another RB of similar value in a few picks.
Should be interesting to see who falls to us at 24 and 25.

Hey, Portis is still young. Like I've said before, I find it funny so many doubt him given his age. I think the 7 pick is a touch high, but he is most definitely worthy of a top 10-14 pick.

No he was, I was just saying I like him, but the 7 pick, for example, is too high. Just saying I like him around the 10-14 range.

So, if no RBs are there to my liking (like Turner), what do you guys think we should do? Let's hear it?

I kind of thought Gore was a reach at 9. I would have taken Lynch or maybe even Parker ahead of him.

As the teams begin to take shape I'm paying attention to how these guys are putting their teams together based on draft position.
The bottom four teams went RB/RB and I like the value they have.
The teams that went with a QB in the 1st are using differing strategies, too early to tell but again, good value.
Andy and Greg went RB/WR and look strong.
It'll be interesting to see how the turn is handled through 3.04 and where Romo is taken. I expect we'll see a run on WR's with the exception of who likes Romo.

Smitty, It is looking like you may be able to get a RB like Ronnie Brown with you next pick and then going with a WR right after…your team would be looking strong.
