ah….the effects of drafting a qb in the 1st round result in taking graham in the 2nd…not really too impressed with any of the draft combos chosen so far…which means a team that drafted in the top four are gonna be golden….i like LT with ronnie brown and braylon or wayne for you smit….and pray barber dont go to miami…if available brown may be the only back i take here or id go WR/WR before the big run…

Looks like we may even see just how much Smitty really likes Turner…

I'll be honest, I have all of these RBs really close:
1. Michael Turner – Risky or not, I'm not backing down from my Turner predictions and those predictions are top 15 value. I'm picking 24th… Everyone sees it coming :)
2. Maurice Jones-Drew – While his ceiling is top 8 overall, his "bust" factor is still hanging around until he gets the carries. At his size, I still have my concerns about him holding up on a full workload. I do like him an AWFUL lot, though. He is such an exciting guy to own.
3. Ronnie Brown – While this pick is tempting, ACL injuries are brutal and Brown won't be 100% until 2009. Plain and simple. That concerns me, so does the loss of Cam Cameron, who turned Ronnie Brown into a first-rounder. Without Cameron, he may have dropped to the 8-15 range anyway… add in a recovery year… Turner has WAY more in my opinion with even less risk.
4. Brandon Jacobs – Great value at 24, but still a bit risky given his injury history and I've said time and time again, this guy won't have a long career at his size and weight. Still solid value if it came down to it.
5. Darren McFadden – Where he lands means everything, but solid prospect. Won't need to dip down this deep into the RB pool, though, as we just have two picks to go.
Just thought I'd share my take on the RBs left. I could understand someone arguing my rank here, that's why we play the game, but this is what's going through my mind.

For a non-keeper draft I would take MJD, Turner or McFadden over Brown.

you know…with all this dallas talk…i may take mcfadden…hmmmmm….i just dont think jacobs is the guy…they won the big game and down the stretch he was only getting 15 carries or so…to keep him healthy i think thats all he can get…mcfadden or turner over brown….hmmmm….a lot of ifs on where those two land but the same could be said about brown and his rehab….two wr's may be the safest route…the PRESSURE is killing me…

You could corner the RB market if you take RB with both picks….and the value may be there…

Joeman is right – LJ and Moss look real good so far!
Wow, Earnest did go a little early and no matter what it takes I will try to avoid Reggie Bush next season. He clearly hasn't lived up to the hype. Nor will he. If I had that decision to make, I would much rather pick a top player at another position then roll with Bush. Specially when there will be plenty of rb's of his caliber that will still available later on.
JunkyardJake picked L.Fitz over the Fab 4 Wr's. They have qb issues in St. Lous. I will try to avoid him as well.

Would someone please tell Calvin Johnson and Greg Jennings it's time to play ball? Thx

Exactly, next season Leinart is going to be back from his injury. I don't think they have the **** sit their 1st round pick. I like it if I knew Kurt Warner was going to be throwing him bombs all game long but Leinart has not been on the same page with any of the recieving core at all.

not on the same page as in throwing for 27 tds and 3400 yards in 14 games…i hate it when that happens….lol

Matt Leinart numbers look nothing like that at all. In his 5 games this year he had 2 td's, 4 picks, averaged less then a 130 passing yards per game, and a rating just above 60%.
Your talking about Warner numbers. I said that if Warner was the QB, then Larry Fitz would be a much easier pick for me because i know he throws bombs all game long and Matt still hasn't proven himself yet.

To answer one of the questions above, I have thought about going RB, RB, RB, but this mock is set up as if we would start 3WRs. The WRs are deep this year, though, so I'm seriously considering this strategy. Odds are, though, I go RB, WR, but we shall see. I'm not ruling out Romo either, though.

Very please with:
Adrian Peterson
Michael Turner
Reggie wayne
Turner won't be the most attractive pick to most at this stage in the off-season, given we have no clue where he will be, but everyone knows on this forum that I'm taking that gamble every time :)
