Nice article. I enjoyed it.

I traded away DeAngelo Williams a year ago for Cadillac as I was trying to win now! Luckily I picked up Graham off the WW and won my league championship anyway. I hope you're wrong about DeAngelo and I'm not sure those idiot Panthers are ever going to give him what he deserves.

What do you guys think about Santonio Holmes? I'm going back and forth on whether to try to trade for him.

I hope you're correct on Roddy White and Earnest Graham.

Thanks for the great content guys.

Keep in mind we were forced to take one side or the other in that article, but I firmly believe Graham is the man in TB. I am not the coach, though, so I can't say for sure what will happen… just what should happen.

DeAngelo is a player I'm more toward the middle on, but like the article says, we were forced to take one extreme or the other. There are a lot of risky things about DeAngelo, one being that coaching staff and the decisions they make with that position. But again, if forced to pick an extreme, I think DeAngelo does have more breakout ability than bust factor.

We love Santonio Holmes.. have you this article yet?

ill use the traditional breakout for better next year or bust meaning less productive.

GRANT….ill go breakout…although he'll be overated and drafted a tier too soon he will also be successful…brett returns…jennings becomes top ten wr…what do you expect grant to do other then 1300 and 10 scores?

TURNER…depends where he goes…he chooses…so i say he's got the speed and power to get it done…big breakout

WHITE…atlanta is a mess…had a great year i give him that…NO WAY he repeats…he'll run into that "it sure is harder playing against the best cover corner and now the cheating safety because i proved to be the only weapon we have" wall…..possible available free agents that would help white youd think would have no interest…best case scenario they draft a rookie wr and white gets no help…..BUST

JONES-DREW…breakout…finally….if you could call his limited time share disappointing….been very productive given the circumstances i think the jags follow the patriots footsteps handling of maroney and give taylor reduced reps during the season to have the veteran full tilt come playoffs….its jones-drew time in 08….

BARBER…julius is gone…but jerry is still here and he takes the first rookie rb he falls in love with while scouting with his first or second round pick…resigns barber…and we will have what we have now…a monster rb who runs like he's a diabetic and the endzone is insulin…time share again barber…sorry big man…BUST in 08

ANDERSON…what made him great was he could be picked up on the wire early in the year…what will not make him great is that if you want him this year you will have to grab him early because someone else will….dont see him improving what was a BRILLIANT year…if he gets to 20 scores in 08 im sure cleveland is happy….BUST

MARONEY…piss's me off to see him run in the playoffs cause thats what i thought i was getting when i drafted him for week 1…BUST…BREAKOUT…who knows with the patriots….im not gonna answer…

WHITE…see smittys comments

WILLIAMS…bitter…bitter…bitter…as an owner…talented…talented…talented…as a player…BREAKOUT…finally

GRAHAM…another beast…that gonna get held back by coach…BIG BUST

Solid take, FarFromHome.

So, everyone, who are some other borderline bust/breakout players and what side do you fall on?

08' season I think we are going to see even better numbers for Marques Colston. After this disapointing season they will once again have a lot to prove to the world and themselves. With a so called sophomore slump behind him, we will see that if he and Drew can pick up where they left off, he will certainly surpass some off those bigger named guys that were drafted well before him.

Marques Colston – Breakout

Would someone please tell Calvin Johnson and Greg Jennings it's time to play ball? Thx

Grant – breakout. 1500 YFS, double-digit TDs. Who's going to stack 8 against Papa Favre? Dude is lightning fast, and only one step away from breaking a 75-yarder.

Turner – my logic side says "breakout…dude's a stud", my instinct tells me "bust! too much hype, he's never been the starter!" I have to reserve judgement until I see where he goes.

Roddy White – bust, for all the reasons mentioned above…he is the ONLY weapon in Atlanta, although I wonder if Norwood will finally get some carries?

MJD – bust. Still not the primary runner, and it seems like a lot of people are looking at him as a RB1 option? oh hell no. 2009 will be his breakout year. I think Taylor still gets too many carries throughout the early part of 08, although I like MJD later in 08 heading into the FF playoffs, as I figure by then, Taylor will get tired/injured

MBIII – tough call. He is a pure stud and goal line hawk, but Jones is such a jackass, he'll stick his nose into the playcalling and keep MBIII from being a true stud. I won't say breakout or bust, because he'll end up in a RBBC once again, and he won't be able to live up to his fantasy potential. Yes, I'd like to kick JJ in his kneecap for this, cuz I love MBIII's running style. He'll be solid, but he won't get 20 carries a game, unfortunately and simply won't get enough chances to make a difference

Anderson – bust if chosen early. He has great WR and a stud TE, along with a solid O-line and running game, but I've seen some people putting him top 5 as a QB. Lawdy! Pure insanity! Hasselbeck will do better than Anderson in 08

Maroney – 08 is his year, Belichick will give him the ball and he will respond. Breakout, solid RB1 candidate

Lendale White – pork chops. bacon. spareribs. oink. 3.8 YPC, 1200/8ish in 08. he's a career RB3. I think he'll see a little bit of improvement in 08, but nothing drastic, until he learns to keep his hands off the pork chops and on the weights and the stairclimber. Dude needs to keep himself in shape rather than sucking down chow.

DAW – say good-bye to DSF, say 'hello' to a breakout season for DAW. 1350 YFS, just short of 10 TDs in 08

Graham – although everything stated about Gruden and his moronic obsession with Caddy (GRUDEN YA JACKAZZ, IT AIN'T THE FIRST 3 GAMES OF 05 NO MORE!) is correct, I still have to think Graham gets the nod. When Caddy is unable to perform, Graham will perform, and will perform big. I like him as a solid RB2

I definitely agree with the consensus here that Santonio Holmes will be THE breakout for 2008.
