Grant – breakout. 1500 YFS, double-digit TDs. Who's going to stack 8 against Papa Favre? Dude is lightning fast, and only one step away from breaking a 75-yarder.
Turner – my logic side says "breakout…dude's a stud", my instinct tells me "bust! too much hype, he's never been the starter!" I have to reserve judgement until I see where he goes.
Roddy White – bust, for all the reasons mentioned above…he is the ONLY weapon in Atlanta, although I wonder if Norwood will finally get some carries?
MJD – bust. Still not the primary runner, and it seems like a lot of people are looking at him as a RB1 option? oh hell no. 2009 will be his breakout year. I think Taylor still gets too many carries throughout the early part of 08, although I like MJD later in 08 heading into the FF playoffs, as I figure by then, Taylor will get tired/injured
MBIII – tough call. He is a pure stud and goal line hawk, but Jones is such a jackass, he'll stick his nose into the playcalling and keep MBIII from being a true stud. I won't say breakout or bust, because he'll end up in a RBBC once again, and he won't be able to live up to his fantasy potential. Yes, I'd like to kick JJ in his kneecap for this, cuz I love MBIII's running style. He'll be solid, but he won't get 20 carries a game, unfortunately and simply won't get enough chances to make a difference
Anderson – bust if chosen early. He has great WR and a stud TE, along with a solid O-line and running game, but I've seen some people putting him top 5 as a QB. Lawdy! Pure insanity! Hasselbeck will do better than Anderson in 08
Maroney – 08 is his year, Belichick will give him the ball and he will respond. Breakout, solid RB1 candidate
Lendale White – pork chops. bacon. spareribs. oink. 3.8 YPC, 1200/8ish in 08. he's a career RB3. I think he'll see a little bit of improvement in 08, but nothing drastic, until he learns to keep his hands off the pork chops and on the weights and the stairclimber. Dude needs to keep himself in shape rather than sucking down chow.
DAW – say good-bye to DSF, say 'hello' to a breakout season for DAW. 1350 YFS, just short of 10 TDs in 08
Graham – although everything stated about Gruden and his moronic obsession with Caddy (GRUDEN YA JACKAZZ, IT AIN'T THE FIRST 3 GAMES OF 05 NO MORE!) is correct, I still have to think Graham gets the nod. When Caddy is unable to perform, Graham will perform, and will perform big. I like him as a solid RB2
I definitely agree with the consensus here that Santonio Holmes will be THE breakout for 2008.
