IDP rankings are a geat addition.
FYI: AJ Hawk is listed on the Vikes in the rankings.

Barret Ruud was a monster scorer last year in only his 2nd or 3rd year he should continue to improve but he is on the bottom of your list.. Why?

He’s not at the bottom of the list sitting @ 15. He’s climbed twenty spots easily from last year when he was a prime sleeper candidate coming off an injury.
Your passionate assertion notwithstanding, he was out of the top twenty scorers for LB’s in any IDP league I participated in.

Ruud posted in the 30s for tackles and combined but did more poorer in big play leagues during 2007
he was 25th in solo tackles, 19th in total tackles, and posted in the 20s and 30s in most non-big play leagues depending upon scoring
solid, but not ‘monster’ IMHO

Tav, going with the Buc’s theme here where do you have Jermaine Phillips ranked?
He is seemingly overlooked by many despite being pretty consistant the last 2 years and I am just curious as to why.

I have Jermaine Phillips as being 22nd in solo tackles (misleading, only 12 behind the leader) in 2007. He placed 12th in tackle-heavy, 10th in standard tackle, 18th in combined, and 20th in big play scoring.
In 2006, he was 4th in solo tackles (5 behind the leader) and placed 4/6/10/11 in the 4 IDP scoring methods I mentioned earlier.
In the last 2 seasons, he’s been less than 2 PPG behind the leader for DBs both seasons.

Jermaine will get you about 100pts no matter what type of IDP league you are in…he’s in my top 40, not the top 20. In almost half his games last year he had 3/4 tackles and an assist or so…too inconsistent.

Any word on Adrian Wilson's rehab?
I see you have him ranked as #9. I hope so since I can get him on my team cheap.

I’ve heard nothing about his re-hab but the guy was #2 on my overall list last year…he’s a beast, I would not hesitate.

Tav, you are the man! I love these rankings. Of course, there are a couple of spots where I would change things, but that's to be expected (I'm a picky bastard). Overall, a very comprehensive list! Where else can you get this stuff at this time of year? Very cool.

Great addition. Not many sites get into IDP, but since I'm in 2 dynasty leagues that have IDP, this will be of great help to me. Too many of the other players in my leagues don't do their homework on defenders, only offensive players, but I won the championship (and some money) last year with a very solid defense.
That being said, and I guess this is something for after the draft, but what rookies coming out should IDP players have their eyes on? I was lucky enough to get DeMeco Ryans coming out, but I missed the boat (had them ranked a little low and missed my opportunity to draft) Beason and Willis last year, and I think both these 3 should be top 3 for dynasty LBs. Who's “top 3″ at each position coming out this year?

Good question matty, and welcome to FFX! Hope to see you on the other threads soon, the more input we have the better.
These are positional rankings, not overall.
DE: Chris Long, Vernon Ghoslton, Derrick Harvey
DT: Glenn Dorsey, Sedrick Ellis, Kentwan Balmer
OLB: Keith River, Dan Connor, Shawn Crable
ILB: Curtis Lofton, Jerod Mayo, Beau Bell
CB: Mike Jenkins, Leodis McKelvin, Reggie Smith
S: Kenny Phillips, DaJuan Morgan, Josh Barrett
Some may notice players in positions they aren’t usually associated with…”eye of the beholder” kinda stuff.

How would you rank them in overall “LB”, “DL”, and “DB” fasion? (not broken down)
A few individual questions?
With Allen leaving, is Hali now a top 10?
G. Wilson moving to Oakland moves him out of the top 20?
Chris Harris a better DB option than Richard Marshall in Carolina?
