First time, long time.

I'm a Turner owner as well; had him protected for 2 years now. I'm concerned about his landing-spot, however. Green Bay appears to have found thier gem…Houston, New York (A) and Arizona have too much money tied to aging backs. The other 'RB needy' teams can secure the rookies from Oregon, Rutgers or Arkansas (Jones) for a fraction of what it might take to sign Turner. He should have fired his agent after last year's draft…how he didn't threaten a hold-out if he wasn't unloaded was retarded; I could have negotiated that deal. Hell, Schaub was moved, and he was tendered with a 1st and 3rd…and it only required a 2nd! I think we all recognize Turner's skill-set…I fear that a crappy situation may reduce him to the next TJ Duckett!

Think Warner starts Week 1 in 08?

Love it that we are already on to 2008. Great site, great work guys.

I do think Graham will stay that high, or higher, as long as the Bucs don't pick up another RB in the off season. They have already said that Caddy will not be ready for the season.

As far as Lee Evans goes…this is more of a "buyer beware" tag on him. I know that is way down the board but I would take Boldin over him in a heartbeat. I know Evans can explode for some huge games, but he puts up way too many goose eggs and the decision to start/sit him will drive you nuts!

Good job on the early Mock….where do you see Turner landing?

Welcome to the site, nyjetfan!

The lure of a championship kept Turner a "good soldier" imo and the GM's price made acquiring him prohibitive. Where Turner ends up and more importantly ~ when ~ will be one of the more intruiging aspects of the '08 off-season.

The Az QB situation is one to watch but I can't see management allowing Leinart to sit unless they decide he is not the answer at QB. If Warner does start in week 1 it may not be with the Cards.

It's funny…Warner can't seem to find a steady home, but man, he put's up big numbers! The Giant locker-room did not want to see him on the bench; Warner then takes over the Cardinal offense with no running-game; and he's blamed for the inept production; hence the drafting of Leinart. Now, he knows the system, has the most prolific WR duo in the NFC…and will probably be competing with Matt Ryan for a starting gig, in ATLANTA! Poor bastard.

One month ago…I would have bet Turner landed in Cleveland. Who knows?

I'd love to see Turner in CHI.

Warner and Leinart will compete to start IMO. It will be a no decision type of thing through much of the young off-season. Like Tavaner just said, they won't "sit" Leinart, but I don't think they will make any decisions either. This is a good problem for AZ, though. Two QBs is better than one with a robotic arm.

That QB battle will be a problem for me as I will only keep 1 QB and I have 3 on the roster right now; Warner, Schaub and Leinart. I was hoping Leinart would be the guy..

Cleveland would be a great spot for Turner. I could also see a team like Seattle who will have to start thinking about life after Alexander

Both landing places that you mention for Turner are excellent thoughts. I'd imagine Jamal will stay in CLE, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if it went down like that.

Schaub might be the safest QB to keep. I think he is going to be an absolute beast if he can stay healthy. Leinart has the weapons, though, so he could be top 5 eventually if he can stay heatlhy. You're in a jam! I think I'd keep Schaub at this point.

That's funny MR MARBLES, I also have Schaub and Warner. I don't have the luxury of Leinart, though. Personally, I'm thinking of going in a different direction altogether. A new coordinator is coming through Houston in '08; I know it's Kubiak's system, but there's always a bit of a learing curve with a new OC. Houston is also without a 2nd WR…I grabbed Walter early in the year; he's too inconsistent. Jacoby Jones is a moron; I know the rookies take time, but he's never in the right place. Oh, and they've got 30MIL tied up in RB Green and an offensive line that nearly got Schaub killed. Same old story in Houston.

Personally, I think Leinart will bounce back…too much invested. I think I'll make a play for him; he'll be a huge sleeper if wins that job and they add some life to their RB corp!

He may be a great keeper, I wouldn't be shocked if he was. I do like Schaub a lot as well. The QB situation should be worked out come decision time I'd hope, but if you're forced to make a decision early MrMarbles, well, I'd go with Schaub so you know you have a starter. But I do agree with nyjetfan that Leinart could be extremely valuable if he has the job.

Yeah, good news for me is I won't have to make the decision until August sometime. I'll hang tight and see how things work out

For the love of his money Randy Moss will be on different team next year in my opinion, and will hurt him and Brady’s value. I find it hard to believe he would take a hometown discount. He hated the Raiders situation, but I could see him going with another great QB via free agent to improve his overall “worth” for talks with greatest WR of all time. Don’t get me wrong I think his best shot to be valuable is with Patriots, but he will try to prove he can do it with any QB and not just with Brady.

Moss isn't the "man" in N.E., that takes a LOT of pressure off. He's not singled out when the offense doesn't produce and he's with a QB that listens to him. Watch the games and when he's bending Brady's ear on the sideline the offense inevitably comes out targeting him (Moss).

Moss' motivation comes from winning championships, maybe he'll be happy with one and done but from all his post game interviews he likes what is going on in N.E.

I'd be stunned if he left.

I agree with Tavner. He is like a kid in a candy store and I honestly think he would consider paying NE to stay :)

He has never had a family in the NFL, and while he isn't actually maturing, he thinks he is and he likes the entire feeling and situation. I say no way either side of that situation wants to change it.

Some very intriguing picks in this mock (Grant, Turner). I agree on Grant but I think he's a little too high and shouldn't go over some other backs (Jacobs, Lynch, MB3, etc.). I disagree on Turner. He's a huge question mark if he is indeed a starter next year and his inability to catch the ball will hurt him. I disagree on MJD, I think he's a late 2nd, early 3rd rounder. I think Ronnie Brown is a sure first round pick. He was one of the top RBs on a horrid team until he went down with injury. I definatley agree on Steve Smith. He's a different WR without Delhomme.

I like the idea of a mock this early, it keeps you thinking about the fantasy season year round. Furthermore, I think it'd be a great idea to get an interactive mock draft going on the forum. Anyone game?

We're assuming some things of course with some of those picks, but you're right, a lot of what we put out there was bold, but that's how we roll. Turner is a question mark, but I'd imagine only injury or some strange desire to stay in SD would stand in his way of a legit starting gig. If he lands it, and I think he will, he will be a top 25 ADP guy early on and he will only climb up the ADPs as we near August 1.

As for a mock, post a thread in the redraft forum here and get one going. Also know that our Mock Draft Simulator 2008 is up and running!
