Scoring is standard with 1 major exception:

QBs get 1:25 yards and 4:TD (25/4/-2), so QB scoring is somewhat devalued.

In this league, Brady led 2007 with 378 points, but Romo was behind LT and barely ahead of Moss.

2007 scoring:

Romo - 283 points
Hasselbeck - 231 points
TO - 218 points
Burleson - 126 points

Here’s our rosters - starters (backups/bye) QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, flex, DST, K

Me:
QB - Romo (none)
RB - Portis, Jonathan Stewart (Pierre Thomas, Ladell Betts, Kolby Smith, Dominic Rhodes, Correll Buckhalter)
WR - Brandon Marshall, Jerricho Cotchery (Burleson, Meachem, Obomanu)
TE - Donald Lee
flex - Burleson or Pierre Thomas probably
Vikings/Vinatieri

Him:
QB - Hasselbeck (Garcia, Clemens)
RB - FWP, Fred Taylor (Duckett, Kevin Jones, Darius Walker)
WR - TO, Donald Driver (Donte Stallworth, Antwaan Randle El)
TE - Tony Scheffler (Kevin Boss)
NYG/Gostkowski

He has offered the following trade:

I give: Romo, Burleson
I get: Hasselbeck, TO, Randel-El

I’m having a pretty darn difficult time figuring out a reason not to take this. Dallas has done nothing positive to their passing game, so it’s not like Romo should have more targets to spread the ball around to. It’ll be TO and Witten, and unless you think Witten is going to set the NFL TE records for yardage, receptions and TDs in a season, there’s no way that Romo does well without TO doing well.

Hass, on the other hand, will have Engram coming back as well as Julius Jones on dumpoffs and the 3rd WR for Seattle always seems to break 600 yards so he has some value as well.

Someone talk me out of doing this, because I’m on the verge of clicking “go for it” although I may counter asking for Kellen Clemens instead of Randle-El (Because I’d drop Randle-El anyway, he’s not worth a roster spot)

Interesting trade, not sure which I like better and makes it tuffer to disect being 2QB and 2WR from the same team on the opposite side of things. Since this is redraft I don’t think going Hasselbeck and TO is a bad move. Romo still has Witten, but he loves him some TO and TO is going to come out hungry after his emotional playoff ending last year(see pic. LOL). Trading Romo to Hasselbeck isn’t as big as deal if your getting TO. The jump from Hasselbeck to Romo is no where near the jump it is from Burleson to TO. Burleson will do much better this year I think, but he hasn’t done much since Minn. I don’t think this is a bad move at all.

Specially with passing touchdowns only getting you 4 points.

This is a good trade for you.

You take a small hit at QB…but only a small one with the 4 pt. TD's.  Hass always seems to throw it about 40 times a game, and his yardage adds up!

That being said…you get a large upgrade starting TO over Cotchery at WR and it's also an upgrade to be able to start Cotchery at the flex instead of Burleson.

Click “go for it.”

i sent Burleson instead of cotch, and I’m liking it better

Cotch and Burleson both are sleepers, but I’d rather have Cotch as he has been consistent the last 2 years (80+ catches) and had almost 1200 yards, he just didn’t get into the end zone

accepted the trade.

I take Cotch over Burleson any day of the week.  Their offense hopefully should be a lot better with increased help on line.

yeah, that’s what I”m thinking

Burleson is a decent red zone guy for Hasselbeck and he’ll be Hasselbeck’s #2 right behind Engram though

Hasselbeck’s a darn good QB, and sometimes being the #2 of an excellent QB is better than the #1 of a weaker QB

I do like Cotch though, that’s why I kept him.

I accepted his updated proposal

I get - TO + Hass + Randle-El
I give - Romo + Burleson

Huh?  How can he veto his own trade?  Just another example of why veto leagues are horrible.
