8-man redraft league, 0.5 PPR, QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/WR/flex/TE/IDP

If I was a gambling man, I’d say it would come down to the 2 of us for the championship

Our offensive lineups (as I don’t think either of us will budge on defense unless he offers up Jon Beason or Nick Barnett which I don’t see happening)

me
Ben
Westy, McGahee
Wayne, Ocho, Cotchery
Bush
Witten
bench - Cutler, Forte, Chester Taylor, Calvin Johnson, Nate Burleson

him
Hass
Addai, Lynch
Fitz, Colston, Roddy White
Turner
Vernon Davis
bench - Earnest Graham, Thomas Jones, Selvin Young, Lav Coles, Bernard Berrian

Now, I’m not even sure he’ll go for it. I offered him Burleson, Forte and Calvin Johnson and he said ‘no dice’. He has stated that he doesn’t like Turner this year (but apparently doesn’t like Calvin Johnson or Forte). Personally, I love Turner as a flex option, but in a 0.5 PPR, unless Turner runs for 1400/8, I won’t be able to meet up to Bush and his 1100 yards, 6 TDs and 80+ receptions.

Yes, I make out in Colston over Cotchery, but take away the TD total from last season, and Cotch and Colston have seasons that aren’t that far apart.

Am I crazy for offering up Bush in a 0.5 PPR?

First, both your teams are stacked and I'm not sure that trade would make a whole lot of difference either way.  I'd like that trade for you, but I don't think he'll go for it - it would leave him too thin at WR and it's not like he needs the help at RB.  Personally, I'd stand with what you have - I happen to think you have the better team.

I’d pass on that trade as well, even if you are the one offering it. X has you covered.

If you can pull it off I would do that trade, I don’t see him going for it though.

well, I have a mancrush on Colston, and I ended up going for it. I do not think he’ll go for it, but he really doesn’t like Turner, and I’ve been playing up the whole “Bush in a PPR, he might hit 90 catches this year” thing.

So anyway, I made the offer, and added another trade to a poor sap of a guy.

this other dude has NO RBs. He has, literally, Darren McFadden and Deuce McAllister. THAT IS IT.

But he has TO, Plax, Welker and Santonio Holmes.

so I floated my Matt Forte and Justin Fargas for his Welker. He hasn’t responded. It sure would help him out, and I’d have a roster of

Ben
Reggie Wayne, Ocho, Colston, Welker, CJ2, Nate Burleson
Westy, McGahee
Witten, Scheffler

Now there’s ANOTHER dude who has SJax, Ryan Grant, Housh, Greg Jennings, Chris Chambers, and that is IT. I could possibly float my Welker + Nate Burleson by him for Ryan Grant

OR

A dude with LT, FWP, MJD, then Torry Holt, Hines Ward, and Derrick Mason. I could float Ocho for MJD straight up perhaps.

Just some ideas to throw your way.

and yes, 8-team leagues can be fun to play in to throw around big names. 8 team leagues are like living real life with monopoly money, you toss around these big names like it’s no big deal. :P
