So I missed a live draft, and that sucks enough but it ESPECIALLY sucks on fleaflicker.

Know who I ‘chose’ with my 2nd round draft pick? Marc Bulger.

*mutter*

anyway, here’s the roster. Redraft, standard non-PPR. Everything is extremely weak aside from the starting WRs. I need a real QB, I need real RBs, I would like a real TE, but I’ll live without

QB - Marc Bulger (Warner, Quinn)
RB - Selvin Young, Kevin Smith (Ronnie Brown, Derrick Ward)
WR - Randy Moss, Andre Johnson (Nate Burleson, Anthony Gonzalez, Devin Hester)
TE - Ben Utecht

Let me know what you think of the following trades:

- Andre Johnson + Selvin Young for Gore/Lynch + Plaxico (don’t think I could pull this one off)
- Randy Moss + Andre Johnson + Bulger for Clinton Portis + TO + Hasselbeck
- Moss + Hester for MJD + Steve Smith (Carolina)
- Andre Johnson + Selvin Young/Ronnie Brown for Willis McGahee + Ocho (another one that makes me dream)
- Moss + Bulger for Brees + Wayne (I like it, but I still need an RB1)
- Moss + Bulger for Romo + Brandon Marshall (I like it, but still need an RB1)

Interested to hear people’s thoughts.

try and deal Ronnie Brown and Bulger, Moss is just as good as a RB1 you def need to keep him

Tough to say until you get the counters. Missing that draft hurt.

Okay, you screwed up, but it is redraft after all.

Are the other guys friends or just some schlubs in a free league? How much cash are you out? Is anyone going to get upset if you tank it?

Maybe you should just cut your loses and save your strength for leagues where you can be competive.

Mark Bulger in the second…. Haaaaa!!!!

free, don’t know anyone, but I am far too competitive to let schlubs beat me.

I’m very apprehensive about giving up Moss, but I have no issues giving up Andre Johnson.

So, how about those trades from my end. Some of them obviously are pretty stilted in my direction, but people do strange things. I got SJax + TO + Cutler for Brady + CJ2 + Michael Turner in a league.

I’m hoping for something odd like that here.

Is this trade pure insanity on my part for giving up both AJ and Moss? I think I make out in this trade pretty well:

- Randy Moss + Andre Johnson + Bulger for Clinton Portis + TO + Hasselbeck

Hey Special K:

What are your starting requirements?

Value wise  - Randy Moss + Andre Johnson + Bulger for Clinton Portis + TO + Hasselbeck is fairly even and you get a RB1

The other suggestions… if I am the other guy:

- Andre Johnson + Selvin Young for Gore/Lynch + Plaxico - No way Jose'
- Moss + Hester for MJD + Steve Smith (Carolina) - Surely you jest
- Andre Johnson + Selvin Young/Ronnie Brown for Willis McGahee + Ocho - Hmmmmmm… NO!
- Moss + Bulger for Brees + Wayne - Over my dead body
- Moss + Bulger for Romo + Brandon Marshall - I don't know how to type a snorting sound

You might have a better chance to deal if it was PPR

I guess you have a new understanding of the old axiom “If you snooze… you lose”

I'd look to move Moss and hope AJ stays healthy. Moss' value will never be higher. Look for an owner who needs a stud WR and has RB depth. I'd try and get a RB like Portis in return. Quinn and Hester have no value in a redraft, so I'd dump both of them and work the waiver. You don't need 3 QB's anyway. Possibly target the Jacobs owner and offer Ward and Utecht for a TE upgrade. See if the Leinart owner has any interest in Warner and maybe try a package deal for an upgrade at any position. You can always pick up a Troy Smith, Clemens type QB off the waiver for your back-up QB. If you dump Quinn and Hester, then look for serviceable WR's on the waiver wire. It would help to see the rosters for the other owners in your league.

Good luck

I agree this is prolly the best idea of the bunch.  Big time upgrade for you at QB….obviously a massive upgrade at RB….and still leaves you in pretty good shape at WR with Burleson expected to turn some heads this year and Gonzo possibly the best 3rd receiver in the league.  If other owner is any kind of deep at QB and RB, the idea of having Moss and AJ might be very appealling.
