Fantasy Football Xtreme was invited to participate in JunkyardJake.com’s Annual Expert League. This is a real redraft league, not a mock, and the line-up consists of: 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1K, 1DST. The scoring for this league basically standard (not PPR), but quarterback scoring is a bit higher, as QBs get 6 points per TD and 1 point per 20 yards.
Serving Double-Doses Of Chad
Just yesterday, Chad Johnson (Cincinnati.com) gave fantasy worlds dozens of reasons to believe in him in 2008. Here is part of what he said about the upcoming NFL season: “I hope the fans understand it’s a business. I love them to death. Some of the things I’ve done for them throughout the years, everything I do is for them. I do apologize. I’m back. I’m going to give a double-dose of Chad.”
I honestly believe that Ocho Cinco has it in him to be a top three fantasy wide receiver in 2008 and he is finding his way onto my “must-have” list this season. So what did I do in this league to back all this up? I took him with a smile at No. 27 overall.

love chad this year …
I keep hoping that he will say more stupid stuff to scare people off of him this year……I am drooling at the thought of landing my two favorite WR’s of all time, steve smith and chad both coming off down years and rated waaaay too low in my opinion in the 2nd and 3rd rounds this year
plus, the top WRs change every year, it’s not as steady as the RB position, you can tell pretty definitely right now that whoever is the best WR in 08…it won’t be randy moss….it’s how these things go.

Ok, so here is an update on our roster… we are two picks away, so I will update you again shortly, but our recent two picks were Vernon Davis and Donte Stallworth. Some may say I'm putting too much faith in the Cleveland offense this year, but to those people I will just say… with AP, Turner and Chad, I can afford to. Plus, I really expect big things out of that CLE passing attack this upcoming year, so I'm more than willing to let it ride on that offense. Not a gamble in my eyes. This team feels so deep and secure, as we have Chester backing up the #1 overa fantasy back in the game and we have Mendy ready to fill in if for some reason we need a runner down the stretch. Mendy will be at full-go come mid-season. Vernon is ready for a breakout year, and surely we will back up D. Anderson suffiently.
